We saw their reactions and following conversation during the streams, and they went over it all in the podcasts, i doubt they'll be going through it all a third time.
If they had regular articles it would no doubt appear there, but they don't and at this point it kind of feels like old news :P.
To be clear, I'm not asking for a recap of the events that were talked over already. We can exclude EA, PlayStation, etc events. It's more to cover all the game reveals and discussion around ones that appeared in streams they didn't cover. Including the Guerrilla collective, PC Gaming Show, Future show, etc. A quick rundown of what was shown would be good.
While E3 proper was cancelled, there have been a lot of stream from different sources with a lot of interesting looking games. I know they weren't planning to talk over the events such as the Guerrilla collective or PC gaming show, etc, but are they still planning on doing a recap of what was shown game wise like they mentioned a few weeks ago? @rorie can you share what might be the general plan?
Can you make the UI intuitive enough and air tight to the point that video data isn't artificially gated to 3rd party aggregate? The end result would be subjective but in theory feasible.
Hey developers of Giant Bomb, would you be able to share the methods that are able to update/instantiate the homepage carousels? I've created a chrome extension, and would like to instantiate a new carousel and also tap into the one for watchlists to add items to it. Rather than add in a carousel js, I figured I could tap into the one already in use - is that possible? Have you created your own carousel library from scratch or using an open source one? @wcarle@wemmick
@conmulligan: Yep. I get the last few weeks of videos, excluding podcasts, "best of", etc. Then I take the associations from those and count how many times they appear and sort by that first. Then I take that list and order it by number of staff who are playing it, with most first. You should totally put it into your app too :)
I hope you enjoy using it. Let me know if there are any additional features you'd like to see or if you run into any issues. Thanks for checking it out!
