Games I Haven't Played in 2010 (But I'd like too)

These are the games that I have skipped on so far in 2010 that I hope to play sometime, hopefully soon!

List items

  • I don't own a PSP. That is the only reason I haven't picked up this game. I've played almost every Metal Gear Game (except the Ac!d titles) and hate that I'm missing out. I would pick up a PSP solely for this title but feel that Sony will announce the PSP2 or a PSP price drop at E3 this year. I can wait, but it hurts.

  • Like Jeff said no one has done a spy game right. They are usually all about action and skip out on what is essential to being a spy. It looks janky and that's why I'm waiting for a price drop. There's only so much jank that I will pay for.

  • I think we all need to experience this masterpiece for ourselves. Plus I want to know how painful the controls were for Vinny and Brad. Sure its $20 but I need sometime off from DP since watching both endurance runs. I really need to watch Twin Peaks.

  • I bought Red Steel pretty much around launch and hear the Red Steel 2 is a much more competent game. I do like the genre melding in this game of East and West aesthetics but I picked up Battlefield Bad Company 2 instead, which killed my PS3. Sad Face.

  • I played the Beta and didn't really get into it, but after watching TNT it changed my mind. I already picked up Split Second when it was on sale and will probably trade it in for Blur. Plus I already have a cart racing game in Modnation Racers, but I can;t make a creative track worth a shit.

  • I never played No More Heroes but like Red Steel 2 it was intriguing. It seems that Desperate Struggle is a more refined game than its predecessor, but like Red Steel 2 I picked up a different game, Mass Effect 2. I think that was worth the full price.

  • Is Heavy Rain a game? I'm not sure. I played the demo and also tried Indigo Prophecy but I couldn't see myself putting a lot of time into them. I do enjoy good storytelling and character development so I might try this when I have more time, after I graduate and find a job.

  • Conceptual this game sounded very interesting. It looked like the Rocketeer meshed with 50s Science Fiction. But I guess that concept was not enough to make a very good game. The demo didn't sell me on the game coupled with the poor reviews. But Nolan North still gets paid.

  • Once again I tried the Beta, and I did enjoy being a small cog in a large war machine. The only problem was the game required a lot of team communication and coordination which I didn't experience at all in the Beta. Everyone was going Lone Wolf, so maybe the numbers have thinned out and only the real players stayed.

  • I have always enjoyed post-apocalyptic game settings, let it be Fallout, Stalker or Borderlands. There's something about scrapping by to survive in a broken world that I enjoy. After watching the QL of Dave playing I decided that I can wait for a price drop.

  • I never played the first Army of Two and I can't remember why. Like No More Heroes DP, The 40th Day looks like it improved all the faults from its predecessor. I decided to let this one slip because it didn't really scream 'must buy' but 'can wait'.

  • Lost Planet Extreme Condition was a great looking game. The controls always felt a little off to me and it seems like Lost Planet 2 has that same feeling. Hearing Brad's dislike for the game, the poor reviews and experiencing the demo I can save this one for later.

  • Am I the only one who hasn't played the Sands of Time? My first Prince of Persia game was the original and didn't play another until 2008's title PoP. This game may not meet the standards of those other titles but I enjoy these kinds of platformers, but this isn't a full price worthy platformer.

  • This game is just crazy weird to me. I understand why they hypersexualized the lead character but its seems that some of it is just too much. From the demo it plays very similar to Devil May Cry which I enjoyed but its just too weird, but not weird enough that I wouldn't try it later.

  • I like third person shooters and remember playing the original on the PS2. This game seems like dumb fun which is what a lot of games are missing these days. The only problem is that this game looks like only dumb repetitive fun, which I'll dive into once I graduate.
