I have a +7 short spear that I want to make a Scraping Spear for PvP. I went to Ed with my Lead soul and there is no option to make the Scraping Spear. I went through some dialogue to see if that would unlock it, but that didn't solve it, and he now repeats that "A Demon's soul is like an inferno". Anyone that has made special weapons from Demon's souls before care to help me out?
 
Edit: I also tried to make my club into a Meat Cleaver with the Swollen Demon soul as well.
Edit v.2: I now have my weapons, I beat Flamelurker and gave the soul to Ed. Topic Closed

Well, I went with the knight class since it was the most rounded, and just beat the first boss :D
 
But how do you raise your stats?

What do you people suggest for a class for a first playthrough?
 
All-around, Spells, Combat, etc...?

I started my game on hard yesterday, maybe thinking that it would start on hard since I beat it on Normal first.  
 
I beat the first two levels and went to check if I was beating them on hard (not to much dieing on the first two levels) 
 
Turns out it was just on normal, so I started off again on Chapter 3 on hard, thinking that if I came back to 1 & 2 later and finished them on hard, I could get my trophy. (Like MW2)
 
Turns out that didn't work. I beat the two levels hoping to get the trophy at the end of the second chapter, but no.  I went to the chapter selection and all my chapter were completed on hard, but no trophy. 
 
Now here's the question, do you think if I beat the end boss again, I will get the trophy? Or will I have to beat the 24 other chapters again?
