@PeasantAbuse: I guess that in cases where people don't have irrational issues with homosexuality, that's the main issue- whether or not you want an exploration of human relationships in your games. The thing about that is that any game which is going to explore gay relationships is going to be doing that anyway, and it's probably just not the kind of game for people who don't want that. That doesn't mean that those games shouldn't exist, with the sheer number of options around.
I don't know why people consider it to be music for teenagers only when their lyrics aren't generally shallow and deal with adult themes.I guess some people feel the need to appear superior though.
I'm not sure if this is aimed at me, as that seems unreasonable, but I'll respond in case it was- I said "my adolescence" pretty specifically, not "adolescence", reflecting purely on my own changing tastes. I suppose being self reflexive is uppity now?! I also refer you to pretty much every comment in this thread for some common sense (You too, Iam3green).
It's not going to be the same especially since Ben Moody is gone.
I was a pretty big fan around when he left, and got over it a little while after their second album- the overwhelming impression I got of the band at that point was of Amy Lee kind of frantically insisting that Evanescence was still a thing in spite of Moody, their guitarist, their bassist and their drummer all having left. So I'm really surprised that they're bringing out new stuff.

As a representative of a country who is just as bad in this area (Australia), I think I can assert that this is an "I hate how stupid everyone can be" thread.
I'm just about to start doing some game stuff on my blog, which I'm putting up with its new layout and stuff soon. It won't be a big part of it, just a video every few weeks (being a full time student with a job makes blogging a little patchy), but it should be fun. All I'm really going for is a sort of hey, I'm playing this thing, I think this about it vibe, not really informative. I'd never try to compete with proper game sites, as it's not really my speciality.
I subscribed about a week ago because I realised how much god damn time I was spending watching Giant Bomb videos, and that extra content is worth the money. This stuff has completely taken over my viewing time, I'm pretty taken with the guys.
But I enjoyed the BLLSL tonnes anyway- well, I only caught the first two hours and the last hour and a half-ish because I live in Australia and I fell asleep, but I intend to watch the rest when it's up. I think finding the kind of stuff on the show fun (as opposed to 'inane') relies on the way your sense of humour aligns with Whiskey's collective one, and mine does pretty well, so there it is.
Also, I always thought that being branded an 'otaku' in Japan was less like just being called a nerd and more like being completely socially ostracised because you do weird things to pillows printed with anime girls. Is that not current?
I am one hundred percent behind Vinny's fast food database idea. They could call it Grease Bomb? Or, uh... BurgerBase? Bottom line, I want this funded.
