I'm lucky if I can finish most games let alone replay them, that doesn't stop me from wanting to experience the art form of video games. There are plenty of reasons to purchase and enjoy this game, and apparently the only reason to post such a thread is to troll.
@XII_Sniper: That always confused me. If their race only has one sex, why is it considered female. Granted they look female, but for thousands of years before they found other multi sex races did they consider themselves all female? I don't know maybe its explained in the lore some where, it just always bothered me.
RSS feeds make going to the actually site pointless. Also they don't have snide perfecting the layout for use so whats the point of going to any other site.
I can see a situation where the kid thought that buying money like this was pretend. Calling it Microsoft Points does kind of have a pretend feel to it, you get points in games and you are playing on Microsoft Hardware. Maybe he thought that he could just take as much as he wanted and didn't really pay attention to the money. This is all very unlikely but he is 11.
Personally I wouldn't let my 11 year old kid play games online, and I certainly wouldn't go six month without checking what charges are being made on my credit card. If this happened in a single day, I can understand there being an obvious mistake and would expect Microsoft to return the money. But these charges were spread out over half a year. If this women doesn't think her son deserves to be punished, then I assume she doesn't think she did anything wrong either. Take the kids video games away, sell them, use that money to help refund the cost. While paying back the rest consider it a learning experience for both you and your kid. The mother will pay closer attention to what her kids are doing and the kid learns to pay better attention to online service charges. Companies exist to make money, and giving money back goes against that.
Head phones are a must for any game that you want to scare you. I know this might be completely backwards to some gamers, some seem to actual not be able to handle the tension in Dead Space. But for us, the people who enjoy being scared, it is a must. I actually bought a pair of Astro A40 headset and wireless Mix Amp, and it is perfect for gaming. I often times have to take the headset off to make sure that the sound is not actually coming out of the TV and super loud. Then just turn off all the lights and sit 4 feet away from your HD TV and get ready get the piss scared out of you. The sound in Dead Space 2 is probably the best part, and anyway to amplify the experience is well worth it.
The Force Gun is a game changer. I use the Plasma Cutter as my main gun, for strategic dismember as I assume most players do. But when things get tense, like when multiple children start coming at you, the force beam completely shuts the room down. I haven't upgraded it, but I haven't need to yet. It also destroys the necromorph raptor things, use main fire to knock them down and then alt fire to completely destroy them. Can't wait to see it upgraded.
I would probably get the PS3 version, seems to have more going for it, but I dont have a PS3. Also the devs said you would get something ingame for having a Dead Space save on your console. Since I had the first one on 360, I will get the second on there as well.
