I ended up starting with a free account, and then they gave me 50% off for the game/30 day free trial, and I said sure why not. I'm on Aerie Peak, Night Elf Rogue, my Battle.net thing is FakePsychic#1332 (This is me saying I would like in a GB guild, also)

I have an owl that follows me around and a giant rideable kitty, so I mean, this game's pretty alright already.

I spent a good majority of today driving around "The South", being a resident of there and... I'm going to echo the sentiment of "Eh. Close enough?" The feeling of each locale seems fine enough (Tennessee should be more mountainous as you head east, though), but... Nashville is nowhere near big enough, nor does Nashville have an oil refinery, as far as I'm aware. When I drove into Dallas it seemed more like Nashville than their Nashville. Additionally, the national laboratory located in "Space Industries" (Presumably Huntsville, AL) seems way more like the Y-12/ORNL/formerly K-25 area of Oak Ridge, although that may just be me projecting a little. Also the Carolinas and Georgia seem to be non existent, as Florida stretches up to Virginia.

I got really kind of excited when I found what really looked like Barnegat Lighthouse in an area that, based on how fudged the geography was anyway, could have potentially been New Jersey, but then I saw it again when I went to Key West so that excitement deflated a little.

Southern geography nitpicks aside, I am actually really enjoying this game a lot. Once I got out of muscle cars, the driving felt great, and I did spend some time just cruising from Key West to Seattle, taking in the sights. It's a great world they've built, geographically accurate or not, and I'd love to just spend some time just... driving.

As soon as the download finishes I'm definitely going to check this out. Definitely a thing that I've been interested in since they announced it around a year ago.

My uPlay ID is TheFakePsychic.

I'm not necessarily certain if this really counts as a "tip," but I found a ring that gave +1 to Telekinesis so my character that is sort of specced towards being a thief can both turn invisible and is telekinetic. And I find that hilarious.

I've almost stolen everything in the starting town.

  • Shadowrun: Returns (and eventually Dragonfall)
  • E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy
  • Sid Meier's Civilization V: Gods and Kings
  • Sid Meier's Civilization V: Brave New World
  • Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut
  • BattleBlock Theater

That's probably more than I usually buy at these sales, given that I tend to go for bundles, and these were all individual games, and Deadly Premonition/Battleblock Theater were really the only impulse buys on the last day.

Furious 6 is my favorite, followed by Fast Five, with Tokyo Drift getting an honorable mention for somehow working as both the third and sixth movie in the series.

Either Koopa Troopa, Lakitu, or Baby Luigi.

Lightweights rule, everyone else drools.

@colliderz: Good thing Sleeping Dogs is getting a sequel in Triad Wars.

Also I voted for Watch_Dogs, on the principle of "I loved everything about the way that game ended." And Jordi.
