That's a really stupid thing to say. More and more games are becoming multi-core optimized. The Source engine games, Total War, Grand Theft Auto IV, Dragon Age, Bad Company 2, etc. The more cores you have, the better.

The AMD hexacores are great and very affordable processors. I wish Intel would price their hexacores competitively. They're still like $800 or something.

3D is nothing new to PC gaming.
 
Hundreds of games already support 3D on the PC.

Some games are made with 3D in mind, but even those that don't work just fine with the technology, and with "Excellent" or "Good" quality as well.

Steam used to have an MP3 player. They removed it for some reason.

I would like BC1 to come to the PC, but I highly doubt it will ever come. DICE said that porting BC1 maps to BC2 would take a lot of work due to all of the changes they made to their engine. So porting BC1 to the PC on the latest version of Frostbite seems unlikely.
