Honestly from reading your description you're being waaay to hard on this game. I can nitpick any game the way you are picking this one. Every game you need to buy into the fiction at least a little. Also from your description I can tell you missed a lot of the games more artistic and psychological points. For instance. When you enter the apartment and you get your flashlight off of the mannequin. The Mannequin is wearing the same clothing as your wife in the photo. As you get closer to the light your shadow casted on the wall grows larger. After picking the light up you are attacked by a mannequin monster. The game is filled with moments like that, that seem completely random or devoid of meaning. But once you finish the game it's completely mind blowing. Even from the beginning with the dirty bathroom, the long walk into town, it all has symbolic meaning.
I am a huge Kurt Cobain fan and I was going to buy GH5 even though I knew he was in it. In fact I was a little happy because I thought maybe this would turn younger generations to his music. But when I saw the "Yeeeah Boy!" clip and him dancing I said fuck that. That's just disrespectful.
It's Metal Gear five. This time it stars Raiden. If you played MGS4 Snake says Raiden is the lightning in the storm. In the teaser everytime the lighting flashes you see the five. Maybe it will be on both systems. I don't this is all speculation.
