Does anyone have any favorite resources when it comes to learning about SEO? Whether it be web-articles, books, or podcasts, any recommendation is very appreciated. Also, people who are well-versed in SEO, what would you consider a good basic level of knowledge when it comes to the subject?

Thanks very much guys, this could possibly be the start of a new job in a new industry for me, and I'd like to be as prepared as possible.

I bought the GOTY edition on sale a couple of days ago and have been having an amazing time with it. After completing and loving BOTW I was feeling like a lot of other games (especially open world ones) were stale and lacking in a solid set of systems to keep me entertained all the way through. But Shadow of Mordor has been fantastic: the sheer amount of badassery in the combat animations is great, and it manages to mix it up enough with the captain's strengths and weaknesses along with the well-built drip feed of getting new abilities to try out. Some of the abilities like the shadow kills, brutalize kills, and pinning enemies legs with arrows feel awesome to use. On top of this, runes are a cool way to mix up your own strengths and weaknesses, and their attachment to past captains you've killed is pretty cool in certain cases.

Having the Nemesis system layered on top of the solid combat and open world has created some fun storylines for me, and even my housemate who is rarely interested and doesn't play games instead watches (he enjoys the brutal finishes) and remembers certain captains and warchiefs that have humiliated me or that I'm working with.

Pretty importantly, I think this game just nails its pacing. It's easy and quick to jump into, has a nice power ramp up and keeps you constantly busy with confrontations and other things to do. Even the incorporation of small things like the herb collecting and monster killing missions are smoothly built into the game's HUD.

Overall it's just a super slick package that still contends with games that are coming out today. While it lacks variety in environments and enemies, it seems like Shadow of War addresses a lot of this and I'm pretty excited to check out its expansions to the nemesis system as well. In the meantime, there's plenty of awesome game for me to dig into with Mordor and the extra content.

@chasinthetrane: Realized halfway through writing that you might not actually be asking about meal prep, and might be more curious about actually planning out a specific diet, but I'll post this anyways. Hope it helps!

The process of meal planning and preparing is honestly way more daunting than it actually is. The true secret to it is to be satisfied with simplicity and to be resourceful. I mean this in that if you're not ok having chicken and rice 5 days a week for lunch, then maybe it's going to be a bit harder, but if you're cool with the same old rice/pasta, and your usual chicken with maybe a different spice this week, then it should be no problem.

** Since I tend to cook for the week and put it in tupperware, I avoid adding onions/cream/cheese or anything else that might go off quickly in the fridge/freezer. **

For meat, I tend to stick with chicken breast because of the solid protein it has and the fact that I've gotten used to cooking it and find it pretty simple.

- Chicken and rice: If you have a rice cooker, this is the meal for you as it's super straightforward. I prefer oven cooking my chicken because I can do large amounts easily. Often it's just salt, pepper, olive oil, and whatever spice/extra I have around. Even just a bit of curry paste, garlic, or mixed spices/herbs can add a lot.

- Chicken and sweet potatoes: Wash and chop sweet potatoes, add salt/pepper/anything else to chicken. Put chicken and chopped sweet potatoes together in an oven dish. Add a small container of store bought chicken stock to keep things juicy, and just wack it in the oven for a while. Mix it around as you go to get potatoes evenly cooking etc.

- Pasta: I tend to go with either a spicy garlic and tomato sauce, or just a really simple spinach sauce (I buy lots of frozen chopped spinach because it can make for a quick and easy add to just about anything). Again, be resourceful, and add what you have around. If I have frozen sausages, I cook and chop em up, and add them to the sauce in order to add something new/extra flavor.

That's my holy trinity of meal prep which are simple, nutritious, and last long stored in the fridge/freezer enough to suit my needs. Hopefully this helps someone out, and if you want to know more about something then I'm happy to go more in depth.

@ghost_cat: People have no idea how bad that movie did, and how much it meant to the producer. He wanted nothing else than for that movie specifically to do well, specifically so that the Speed Racer series could go through some sort of a revival. Sadly, it didn't turn out that way at all and now is like an unmentionable film title around him.

@alexw00d: There's someone I need to reconnect with over there, and I'd rather do it sooner rather than later.

I've realized that all I want out of this upcoming final semester is a job in Manchester, England for after I graduate in December. But living across the ocean makes it tough to make a good impression in person.

Any advice for someone looking to start finally working after studying all their life? And has anyone been in this situation (doesn't have to be Manchester, but trying to find work fresh out of school in a city you're not in) before? How did you go about applying to places, and how did things go?

I want to cold call/apply to every game developer in Manchester looking for entry level writing or QA testing positions, but I am very doubtful that will work. Experience and advice are really appreciated.

Watched Fury last night and was fairly disappointed. For some reason I sort of built it up in my head after hearing lots of good stuff about Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf's performances. I think the individual performances were fine, I just wasn't impressed with the film overall.

The action felt really fake at certain points, with bullets looking more like laser beams (almost even in the colouring) sometimes, and everything feeling too chaotic for me to appreciate or understand the shots the tank was taking at their opponents. Was also hoping for more scenes which depicted the probably disgusting reality of having to live inside a tank with like five other men, but that wasn't really touched upon.

In the end, I think I was overhyped and have been slightly spoiled by The Pacific (rewatched it before Fury), and I wish I enjoyed the movie more.

Fury gets two stars out of four.

Do people think an Overwatch animated movie would be successful? For some reason I'm convinced that it would do really well, but I'm not sure if I'm caught in some bubble of post-hype or something. They already have a great start with that cinematic trailer with the two kids, and it seems like it could be easily expanded upon.

After the "We Happy Few" trailer at E3, I realized that what I like most about that game is its style and the cool types of stories you could tell in that world. Personally, I'd love to see a film with that premise and style.

I've made a small list of games I'd like to see movie adaptations of (Red Dead Redemption, Metro series, Hotline Miami, Mass Effect Series, Witcher Series, and a few more)

What games have you always thought would make great movies? Or what games have a style or concept that you'd like to see translated onto the silver screen?
