We start off by talking about a bunch of random games that we both played over the last week. Alex then end with a game he's finally started, Red Dead Redemption and with no surprise loves. The games just keep coming out so we have another long list to go through. Finally not much gaming news this week but it looks like that R18 rating for Australia that keep in mind was approved will take a while to be put into effect.
In this episode Garry explains why he has decided to end his time with World of Tanks, while Alex explains why he's going to take a break from Age of Empires Online for a while. Garry has also been playing Homefront multiplayer, while Alex suffered through The Spiderwick Chronicles. Lots of new releases to talk about this week and a little bit of gaming news. A couple of highlights include newly announced Kinect games which includes Double Fine Production's next "game". Also we've finally gotten the release date outside of Japan for the Playstation Vita.
In the 50th episode of the always exciting That Game Podcast we do nothing out of the ordinatary, although that isn't a bad thing. As always we talk about what we've been playing. Which for Garry was Bodycount and Armoured Core 4. For Alex it was a ton of Age of Empires Online, Fruit Ninja Kinect and Game Party: In Motion. The new releases continue to flood out with the highlights being Batman: Arkham City and Skylanders Spyro's Adventure. In the gaming news we have September's sales numbers, Sony annoys us again, Microsoft buys Twisted Pixel and you'll never hear about Qwikster again.
Garry is back after being tarty last week, and as usually we go through what we've both been playing this week. Which was really just a mismatch of many games. It's October and that means there is a crap ton of games coming out. So as usually we go over what's coming out and what we are excited for. Not much gaming news, although Rockstar Games is neglecting the PC and Sony can't do anything right as usual.
With Garry unavailable at the last minute Alex carries on witha short solo podcast this week. No worries though as their are plently of new releases to talk about and as always gaming news. Alex also talked about what he had been playing which included Mercury Hg, Michael Jackson: The Experience, Eragon and much more.
The dynamic duo of Alex and Garry are back for another week of podcasting. Lots of more Gears of War talk from both the game and books this week. Garry has been playing more World of Tanks while Alex has been playing The Gunstringer, Scott Pilgrim vs the world: the video game, more Borderlands and much more. The new releases are a metric ton load this week and their is all kinds of video games news.
Garry had finished Mass Effect 2 while he was gone and finally talks about his impressions. Alex is all about Gears of War, not playing but reading the books that take place between 2 and 3 so he goes on for a long time about Gears of War lore. The new releases are of course highlighted by Gears of Wars 3 and we of course go over the gaming news.
This week....GARRY is back!!! Yes, after two months of he is finally back and has even managed to get a good amount of gaming in. Alex has been mostly wrapping up on achievements but also played a little bit of Dead Island. The floodgates have opened on the new releases and their is always a little bit of gaming new to talk about.
After a few weeks off we are back! Well Alex is at least as Garry is having internet issues so for the time being friend of the show, Derrick will be filling in. This week is all about catching up on what we've been playing for the last few weeks. This of course leads to all kinds of tangents along the way. Not much catching up to do with the new releases as almost nothing came out when we were gone. Although with Gamescom and PAX Prime going on there was lots of news to discuss. Still no return of Spoiler Discussions, hopefully we will return to that feature within the month but in the meantime sit on down and take a listen to the longest show we've done to date.
I’m sure you’re thinking to yourself, “Yeah, 42 is the answer, any good nerd knows that.” You crack open your PBR and wonder, “Is there anything else, though? Some number that people haven’t thought could be cool.” You jump to your feet, causing your first edition vinyl record to skip. “I just figured it out!” you exclaim. “I need a number that represents how lame the PSN’s version of Summer of Arcade is, and how disconnected Blizzard is. I need a number that talks about the EA vs Steam debacle. I need a number that talks about what came out this week, one that represents Alex and Daniel digging in to what they’ve played.” You settle back in to your recliner that you picked up from Goodwill, and gently puff your pipe. A satisfied grin comes to your face, since you figured it out before it was cool. “Yes,” you think, “I need the number 43.”
