So I know this girl. She's very special to me and I wish I could get closer to her socially. But with my work and her school it's turning out to be something of a chore. Anyway, she has a birthday coming up, and I want to do something special for her like. And there's a concert coming up actually the day after her birthday, with a band that' probably one of my all-time favourite bands, and I want to buy her a ticket and share this soul changing experience with her. I'm probably gonna do it too, that is if she's not doing anything else. Just felt like sharing 'cause it means a lot to me, you know.
In a perfect world she'd feel the power of this unique and powerful band and just decide she want's to spend the rest of her life with me. But likely that won't be the case. I'll be happy if she just agrees to share this special moment (in my mind it's special at least) with me.
What egotistic thing would you share with someone you care for?
I can't fear death. It's so distant it's not even something I think about all that much. I used to, when I was younger I would get these sudden violent realizations that someday I am going to die. The thought of everything just ending didn't much sit right with me back then. However, I've grown older and to some extent wiser.
I had the most amazing conversation with my grandmother in the final moments of her life. She was old and had lived a full life and she was, while not glad to go, she wasn't sad. I think that's what did it for me. This woman who I adored assured me there's nothing to fear. So I won't fear.
As for a premature end. I don't believe that fearing being run over or something of the sort is really going to do any good for anyone. I think there's a phobia for that sort of thing.
havent really been into them ever. but for some reason i've had one of their songs in my head all day. don't know what it's called. just that it's about cthulhu.
@ThePhantomnaut: definitely one of the best drone albums out there. and accessible too. before that black one was pretty mainstream. but this one is accessible and groundbreaking dronewise without crossing the border from underground. something i would have never suspected sunn o))) of being able to do. they've always sort of been cloaked in the shadow of earth to me.
