You are actually pretty close to the end of the game. I agree that dodging is pretty lame until you actually understand how it works. Blocking is easily executed by simply mashing the stick towards the attacking enemy and hitting light attack (you don't need to time it or anything). I also agree that it is extremely frustrating when fighting an enemy with an unblockable move. In my first runthrough I found myself getting stuck in some combat animation and with no way to escape as the big enemy guys telegraph a hammer swing. And then I found out that you can cancel out of those animations by going into Blade Mode.

They could always try to do the shaky hands thing like Resident Evil 4. And then lessen it as the plot progresses. But that would probably lead way for frustration.

I enjoyed whatever they had put up last year. Question though: They poll the users of their message board right? It's not just a small group of people that decide the awards.

Same reason why The Twin Snakes and Fatal Frame 4 remained a Nintendo exclusive.

I was having the same problem and probably fucked up on the boss like 100 times trying to cut the falling rocks. It all clicked when I realized that you could set a cutting angle in blade mode, and then press 'X' and it will make a cut on that angle, rather than moving the stick to cut like I had been doing. Made cutting the meteors SO MUCH EASIER and then health was plentiful and it was a cake walk.

This technique with the controls mapped to style D in the options make the precise cutting portions much easier IMO.

Who cares? Nothing really happens

That's deep, bro.

It all just a training program inside the Animus that's being used to prepare the next generation of child soldiers.

Oh so that's why MGS4 had a Assassin's robe for Snake to wear.

The past Tomb Raider games have their fair share of supernatural enemies, so I won't be surprised if this one does too.

I wonder how many of those sales rode on the Metal Gear name alone? If Platinum made another MGS spinoff title, would it sell as well?

Not trying to shit on Rising, just curious.

I know that if it weren't a Metal Gear game, I wouldn't have bought it day 1. I usually wait for games to go on sale before I buy them, but Metal Gear is one of the exceptions to the rule.
