Square Enix Brings About the Revolution in iPod Games

When Phase first came out for the iPod several months ago, I thought the revolution in iPod games had come. Of course, the game turned out to be less than I thought in the long run, but it's a really neat idea: using your music in a game.

Now, the idea has been taken up to a whole new level in what's easily the first truly worthy iPod game. Square Enix has made an RPG for the iPod. Just hearing that bit of news is pretty crazy: a full-on RPG on an iPod! And it can be played on the 30GB video iPod, you don't need the new ones or even a Touch or iPhone! Song Summoner is a really neat game not only because it's an RPG for the iPod, but you make your soldiers from songs! You choose a song and a soldier is created, simple as that! The whole idea is really cool and it's neat to experiment and see which songs will make the best fighter. I intend to write up a full big review for this game when I've played it enough, I think it's worthy of that. It costs $5, so if you have the right iPod I recommend you get it. I think it's worth an 8/10, but I'll see if that impression becomes my final score.

And I just wanted to say that I'm liking Giant Bomb more and more now. I've submitted a ton of stuff and am now writing bigger articles. I have written quite a lot on Rayman 3 and am going to write a lot more eventually, and I've just been adding stuff like objects, characters and such to games' pages and writing the quick descriptions on the top of the overviews... it's just so cool! I think I'll be on Giant Bomb more than GameSpot from now on, but GS is still my home site so to speak, and is where I'll be posting 100% of my reviews and blogs (I'll only be posting my long reviews and occasional blogs here). Man, the site is great and it seems like it's still improving, and the database is only getting bigger!

So yeah, that's all I have to say today. Be seeing you all around, and be sure to check out Rayman 3's page here if you have the time, because the overview stuff was all writtten by me .

^^ Above comment; I was thinking of doing that, but I dunno lol D:

Song Summoner? Song of choice - Like Toy Soldiers - Eminem. That's got a nice ring to it.
