For me it's the cancelled project BC. As a kid I remember reading previews in magazines and really wanting it. As a Peter Molyneux game I can have a fair guess as to why it didn't work out...but I'd still love a deep dive on it.

Is there any news on GB's game of the year stuff? Late Dec as it used to be or sometime in the New Year?

My GOTY is Halo, but I can see It Takes Two being the consensus choice.

Predictions:

1. It Takes Two

2. Halo: Infinite

3. Guardians of the Galaxy

4. Psychonauts 2

5. Forza Horizon 5

This is very generous to take the time to share, I assume this is for new members only.

I'm subbed to 2024, no need for an extra two weeks. I hope someone redeems this and enjoys themselves.

Merry Christmas :D

I agree completely that Forza Horizon is a wonderful joyous experience.

I think the Skate series is similar in that respect (security guards are the exception, but their just doing their job.)

Forza is a celebration of cars, skate is a celebration of skating.

A lot of sport franchises are similar, but they're kind of they're own thing.

Yoku's Island Express comes to mind as a joyous game, but I haven't played it in a long while so may have forgotten some darker element in that game.

@liquiddragon: That's annoying, but thanks for letting me know.

Follow up question. I own an Xbox Series S (no disk tray) but still have my Launch Xbox One kicking around. Can I put the disk in that and have the rights transfer to the series S?

Is Skate 2 coming to Game Pass / EA Play? Presumably it should do, once EA have their money after it was announced to be backwards compatible. Do any duders have any knowledge?

I've been searching all over the web for info on this. I would appreciate it if anyone knows anything.

All I can find is the story that they're shutting down the online servers.

I'll buy it at some point, but it isn't in the sale.

I actually really like the current Xbox Series startup, although I rarely see it as my TV can't turn on quick enough to catch it. Loving the current Gen speed.

Although OG PS1 is the king for me.

Picked this up Day 1 in the UK. March 14th, 2002 if I remember correctly. I was just turned 14 and walked into town from school to pick up my £400+ preorder from Electronics Boutique. Been Xbox only, playing halo ever since :p.

It was my entire Christmas and Birthday present and was glorious.

Edit: SKATE 2! Finally, that's the one I've been waiting for. Thanks Xbox.

Definitely 5.

I love 4, and as a brit living abroad, it was great to tear around the British countryside. It was a great game, but I'm about 5 hours into FH5 and it is similar, but better in every way.

Also, with your family link, the games location alone should make playing 5 an easy choice.

Assuming you have GamePass, just give it a shot. There's no "story" from 4 you'll be missing out on.

I chose Xbox because Fifa is a 'console game' in my head I don't own a PS console. I have owned PC Fifa in the past and it played fine.

I bought Fifa 21 on release and I felt it was the best the series has been for a while (I only play Career Mode). With my Game Pass subscription I won't play 22 until it comes to EA Play / GP. Fifa 21 might become my career mode staple for a few years. I wish we could have forward progress to the new title, but I understand why that's difficult to implement.

So, if you don't own 21 or have Game Pass to play it with that I'd recommend Fifa 22 I guess, I don't know if it'll be good, but it'll likely play very similarly to Fifa 21.
