Xbox Live Arcade Collection

All my XBLA games. Alphabetical order.

List items

  • 7/10 While Age Of Booty may not be the deepest strategy game out there, it has its moments. I hear it makes for a really good drinking game too.

  • 7/10 Assault Heroes is as straight-forward as top-down shooters come. "Here, you're this buggy vehicle, now go shoot stuff!" is pretty much all you need to know. Very shallow game, but can be fun, especially co-op.

  • 10/10 Slick visuals, great soundtrack, and overall an excellent remake of a great NES classic. This is how you do remakes, developers! One of the best games available on XBLA.

  • 9/10 Being one of the most revered PS1 games, SOTN still holds up incredibly well still today. If you don't already own this game, you probably should.

  • 8/10 Chime is a pretty clever Tetris-based puzzle game that is sure to steal several hours from you if let it. It's also very relaxing, so it's a good stress reliever.

  • 4/10 Well, for a free game, I can't really complain that much, can I? Decent entertainment for an hour or so, but after that you will never ever play it again.

  • 9/10 I love me some tower defense, and Defense Grid is exactly that. It's a pretty long game too, with several different gameplay modes for the 30 or so maps. Worth every penny.

  • 7/10 For a free game, I was positively surprised by this goofy title. This is essentially Takeshi's Castle meets Trials HD but with avatars. It's both challenging and entertaining and has decent replay value if you're into leaderboards and achievements.

  • 7/10 Geometry Wars is a good, but incredibly difficult dual-stick shooter. I salute those who has gotten all the achievements in this game.

  • 9/10 Retro Evolved 2 takes everything that was good about the first game, and expands upon them with new gameplay modes. It almost makes the first game seem obsolete in comparison.

  • 5/10 Harms Way has some really cool ideas and plays surprisingly well, but the lack of features and content makes it feel like a promising demo at best. I guess that's why it's free.

  • 7/10 High level Hexic play is no joke. This is a puzzle game that requires both skills and patience if you want to become good at it. Sadly overlooked game.

  • 7/10 Even if the titular character Mr. Winterbottom is sort of a greedy jerk, the game itself has a lot of charm. I never thought I'd play a game that revolved around pie eating, time mechanics, evil clones and silent film aesthetics, but here we are. It's a bizarre game, but a good one.

  • 9/10 Finally I can experience one of my favourite adventure games of my youth with fully voiced characters. Oh, it also has awesome new graphics and re-recorded music. A classic title just got better.

  • 7/10 Even if N has a tendency to get frustratingly hard I can't really knock it for that fact. If you like masocore games, then you probably already know this one.

  • 8/10 As simple as it is fun, Pac-Man CE DX, or Pac-Man's Extreme Neon Ghost-Blast Extreme as I like to refer it as, is a great modernization of the classic Pac-Man formula. I think everyone will find something to enjoy with this title.

  • 8/10 It's Peggle. You shoot balls and they bounce of colored pegs and stuff. Apparently it can become as addictive as World Of Warcraft or other similar heavy drugs.

  • 8/10 Mixing Bejeweled with some light RPG mechanics was a pretty genius thing to do, and Puzzle Quest can be pretty addictive. A lot of value for your money, that's for sure, as it will take a very long time to beat the campaign.

  • 8/10 Risk: Factions is an insanely wacky and charming take on the classic board game. I didn't even knew I liked Risk until I got to control an army of yetis and murder humans, cats, robots and zombies.

  • 6/10 I wanted to say that Rocket Riot is a blast, just for the pun, but it's a bit too repetitive to justify that praise. It can be fun in short doses, but if you play it for too long it gets tedious.

  • 7/10 Space Neon Lobsters co-op action extravaganza! I don't think is a game for everyone, but it has some cool concepts. It also gets really hard in the later levels.

  • 8/10 If you like brawlers, especially those that pay great homage to River City Ransom, then this is your game. The excellent retro visuals, chiptune music, and various 8-bit throwbacks really sold this game for me.

  • 9/10 At first I didn't think I'd be much into a dogfighter game but Snoopy Flying Ace proved me wrong. It's a surprisingly deep and "adult" game despite its colorful and (obviously) cartoony presentation. One of my favourite XBLA titles.

  • 8/10 Splosion Man is definitely one the craziest characters I've had the pleasure of playing as for a long time. The gameplay is as simple as it gets, but timing your splodes right can feel frustratingly difficult at times.

  • 8/10 Another great example on how to do a proper remake of a classic game. I'm no SF2 expert, so I can't comment on the gameplay changes much, but the redrawn art looks excellent.

  • 9/10 Mastering Trials HD is as much of a mental endurance test as it is a test of pure gaming skills. It can be incredibly frustrating, yet immensely rewarding if you stick with it long enough.
