Seconding the BABYMETAL suggestion. The full album as DLC would be really awesome, with maybe one track on the disc already. Also Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band. It'll never happen in a million years though, which is a shame because some of their songs would work really well I reckon.

Yep. I loved Dark Souls and can't wait to play it again on PC, even if the port is not meant to be a good one. Plus I want to do a let's play and that is way easier on PC using fraps.

I bought some gems, yeah, but not too many. Maybe £10 worth. Over the course of the beta weekend I only used them to purchase mystic keys to open the mystic chests I found, which, btw, drop at a pretty frequent rate. I managed to hit level 30 over the weekend just mostly just playing pve and found maybe 7 or 8 mystic chests and no mystic keys. The stuff you get in them is actually pretty good though. The total gem value of their contents was always greater than that of the key you I bought to open them, the only catch is it's random of course.

@HadesTimes: We didn't get free gems during BWE 3 and we won't at launch either. From this point on-wards Anet are gonna want people to actually pay for them.

Like some others have said I too will immediately turn around and run into my capital city, The Grove (playing a Sylvari) and get 100% completion there to build up a bit of early xp. Then i'll pick up my crafting professions, weaponsmithing and armoursmithing, and go 100% the Sylvari starting zone probably, building up my weapon skills and finding crafting mats. At some point I may go on a trip to all the capital cities, 100% each of them to just get that done as early as possible.

I've already decided that i'm not doing any WvW until I hit level 30, that way i'll have access to my full hotbar and probably have maxed out all my weapon skills (I'm playing warrior so there are a lot). I'll also hopefully have picked up some nice weapons by then, so I won't be completely destroyed by other players.

I played a couple games of it over the weekend. We lost both of them. Because your whole hotbar changes it does take a bit of getting used to. Though I imagine once you figured it all out it would be a lot of fun. Hopefully there will be more stuff like this in game at release.

The lack of subscription fee is definitely something that has my bank account happy, that's for certain. I think it's a direction many mmo's are going to be going down in the future. I quite wanted to play the recently released Secret World but with GW2 coming out so soon I simply don't see the point in buying the game when i'll only cancel my account as soon as GW2 launches, and then i'd never be able to play it again without paying the monthly fee. Why even play for the free month when I know i'll still have to cancel at some point? However if that game was also buy2play I would have probably bought it to give it a go.

Other than that there are just so many improvements being made to the traditional mmo format; too many to list. I've played all the BWE's so far and the combat is already my favorite of any mmo I've played. The world is beautiful, with phenomenal art direction. The quest system is extremely fun and very laid back. You don't have to worry about quest logs or over-leveling or any of that shit, you just play the game however you want. It's great. And there is just so much to do in the world. I can't see myself ever running out of things to do.

You get five character slots with your purchase of the game and need to buy the other slots with gems, yes. But remember there is no subscription fee and Arenanet has to make money somehow. Personally I am fine with it.

I've literally never seen a single advert on this website. I'm using Chrome with AdBlock right now, so that's no surprise, but even before that i'd never seen one. I honestly don't even know what they look like.
