Today i lost a family member ... my grandma to be exact. she was very kind and close to my heart. I have grown up around her all my life ever since i was a little boy  and it is strange to get a phone call from your father saying that she had passed away... Sadly i was a crying mess in the middle of my dorm but my friends helped me and stood by me all the time. 
It is sad and i am actually pretty drunk ,now makes it easier. I really have no idea why i am sharing this with giant bomb but i just felt like i had to throw my thought out some were. I am still having a hard time believing this

Sorry man, I know how it feels. From 2007-early 09 I lost two good friends and my aunt, all from pretty horrific cancer. I know it sucks right now, but you will get over it. Time heals, not much else helps. Good luck getting through it.

I don't really know you, but I certainly know what it feels like to lose a grandparent.
 
It is now that you have to cherish all of the good times, because she would have most likely want you to be happy.

Sorry for your loss, my grandma died two years ago and it sucks pretty bad to lose a close family member, best wishes to you and your family. 

I've lost one of my grandma's and a grandpa.  But I wasn't sad because I didn't really know them.  Sorry for you though.

Talking, remembering is all about the healing process. To lose a loved one is the hard part, remembering what they meant to you is the joy. The joy of a life lived no matter how long. Stay strong and hold on to that memory.

Sorry brother, and I say get drunk all you like, I know how much a good night of drinking can take your mind off of things, just don't use it all the time to escape.

Cherish her memory. Stay strong. Make her proud.
