A solid third person shooter 0

Space marine is a third person shooter based in the universe of warhammer 40k. You play as Captain Titus, an Ultramarine that leads a squad of other space marines in liberating a forge world from an ork invasion. You dropping onto the planet. The gameplay of this game is very much influenced by the style of gameplay that was championed by the gears of war franchise. The key difference is that as a space marine, you don’t take cover. You blast at the enemies as they approach you and when they get c...

A decent entry in the series 0

Resistance 3 is the latest game in the resistance franchise. Starting with one of the most impressive launch titles for the PS3, this franchise has built its self-up to be one of the premier FPS games on the PS3. Resistance 3 continues the story that was left hanging at the end of resistance 2.This game takes place 4 years after the events of Resistance 2. The majority of the population of the Earth have been wiped out and the Chimera have started terraforming the planet. The plot of the game re...

Infamous 2 Review 0

Infamous 2 is the follow up to Sucker Punches’ excellent Infamous. Cole is back with a new challenge, new powers and a superb game. The main component of the game is a third person shooter with an excellent climbing engine added in. It maintains the feel of the original game while still improving upon it in a meaningful way. The whole game flows really well. You will go from flying along a train line to blasting some dude into the air and then beating down monsters with an electric c...

Alice the Madness Returns 0

Alice: The Madness Returns is the latest game from American McGee’s studio, Spicy Horse. It is a game that uses some strange design decisions that separate this game from the majority of the games that are being realised currently. Alice: the Madness returns is a third person action-adventure game that plays very much like an evolution of the games of the previous generation of action adventure games. You spend the majority of the game jumping across platforms, dashing past slamming pis...

A game that has so much promise 0

Brink is a game that has the potential to be an amazing game and yet falls flat on so many different places. This game has ideas that are rare to find in the multitude of FPS’s that are still flooding the market but is still held back by several key problems.  Starting with the gameplay, brink introduces the SMART system. This allows you to run across the maps vaulting and sliding over and under obstacles in the way. This is very reminiscent of Mirrors Edge with the view remaining in ...

Not a good Game 0

The Forced Unleashed 2 is the sequel to the somewhat popular Forced Unleashed. In this game you play a clone of the main character of the first game and after escaping for Darth Vader you set out to find you love interest for the first game.   Firstly let’s talk about the story and characters. The stories its self is a little contrived but is sufficient to keep you wanting to know what happens next. The endings (a good and bad) don’t make as much sense in the story of Star Wars thoug...

Enjoyed the Hell Out of It 0

Fable III has been a much anticipated game since its announcement last year. This game has a lot to live up to as its pre-sequels have been voted into the range of best games in history, across the Xbox and PC platforms. When you play the game for the first time, you instantly jump into a very genius and well made cinematic that almost feels as if you are watching a movie thanks to the intense camera angles and well suited voice over’s. The cinematic is surprisingly funny, with a...

Not so good 0

he follow up to Platinum Game’s Bayonetta, Vanquish is a game that was built around its personality. However, this doesn’t work when the personality is weak and somewhat pathetic. This is a game designed by a Japanese developer for a western audience. It feels like all the research that they did was watch a lot of bad Van Dam movies. This results in a game that makes it feel like it was made in a time that has long past. If this was the only problem that the game had it might be forg...

It's Ok 0

The name Medal of Honour has a special place in many people’s hearts with many fond memories. From the original on the PS1 there have been games on most consoles. From the beginning the Medal of Honour games were primarily a console game. Now back after a series of lacklustre games on the last generation and early 360, Medal of Honour is going head to head with Call of Duty.   This is a game that was made by two different studios and it is clear when playing the campaign (Danger Clos...

Little Big Planet 2 Review 0

Little Big Planet 2 is the very definition of what a sequel should be, maintaining the feel and spirit of the first game while improving the game play and adding new mechanics. If you are looking for a game that will give you endless hours of enjoyment thanks to its incredibly well made level creator. If you have played the first Little Big Planet then you more or less know how the game plays. For those that haven’t played it the basic game play is a platformer of a similar ...

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom Review 0

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is a game that feels like it should have come out several years ago. Developed by Game Republic, this third person action adventure game has a few tricks up its sleeve but none of them actually leave a positive impression.  It is a game that is obviously influenced by the Legend of Zelda games but false to live up to the source. The main gameplay mechanic of the game is that you command that Majin that is a giant creature that you can get to attack vari...
