I agree. I may make a joke or two, but I definitely don't think his issues with English are indicative of an lacking in his quality of thought here. I'm not sure I can relate to that particular one, but I certainly understand the desire to view the activity around you. It can often help you feel like you're just another part of the world. Like looking out at a bustling city at night. At times when we may instead be lonely, these public displays of activity remind us that others are out there right this moment living their lives, and in some way, that can be comforting.

Newsweek is the magazine that really gets me going. Editorializing major news stories from around the world. Aw yeah. Flipping through the pages late at night, imagining Paul Krugman's smooth voice narrating every line about the latest campaign issues. The way they present facts in a slow, drawn-out manner interspersed with personal opinion to give the news more texture and impact. Now that's the stuff.

Conclusion: Newsweek is pornography.
