It makes perfect sense for a MMO to be released as close as possible to Christmas, you don't want to piss off early adopters with a huge inhabited world.

So, gentlemen, gather all your games, I think we may face a long ending-generation drought, may it be?

I vomit 4-6 times in the last 30 minutes of every game I play. I had just assumed this was a feature of modern games.

Isn't the idea of a console not to pay $1500 to play video games?

Is that why people pay $59.99 for console games, to save money?

And exclusives. I pay €20, anyway.

A, B and D mostly.

A has been mixed with B and D successfully many times IMHO.

The last few weeks have had a good number of great releases, IMHO. I suppose the point is to get some sales due to Christmas, the time of the year for the most rabid consumerism. Is something else in the near future? Something to look forward to before Christmas?

No brainer.

But why would anyone from USA do that?

USA is the country that has more universities in the top 100 list.

In an hypothetical world where innumerable things are different and I have children.

  1. I wouldn't buy games for them until they really want them.
  2. I would buy only games that promote the values I think are good for their education. IMHO, killing aliens, monsters or people are completely different, as is breaking robots (not even killing here, AFAIK).
  3. I would give that as a reward, if they study, get good grades, etc. That's not the real world, and bad things happen to good people, I would try to explain that to them, but I would also like them to live in a world were good work has a reward, at least for the time I can "provide" that world for them.
  4. I would try to be involved in their games, as well as having several children, so that they are not playing alone, that is probably not very healthy for the social aspect of their development.

However, as things are, I'll be forever alone, and I don't even know where to start changing stuff to solve that, so no matter how hard I may try, "the harder you try, the harder you fail". I won't say that's something I don't want, but that's something that I can clearly see out of my reach.

I have no true addictions but I will abuse something if I have access to it, e.g. the internet. I spend way too much time on the internet when my laptop is nearby, but can go several weeks without logging on if it's not. Same with coffee. I drink at least a half pot a day if it's available, but if it's not I can go without it for long periods of time.

I hadn't explicitly noticed that I had the same problem until I've read your comment.

Thank you, I guess. Any solution?

Despite of that, I'd say I'm addicted to the sense of achievement, and to some extent to games since they provide this sense with ease.

Unfortunately, for every strong and decently dressed female character that fits the mold of HL2's Alyx Vance, there will almost certainly be a variety of modifications geared towards that youthful male demographic which resemble the efforts of Fakefactory.

How is that unfortunate?
