Whichever class and spec you pick, learn which stats you utilize. This will obviously help you gear better and prevent you from looking like a ninja when you take a drop from a boss that doesn't really work for you. Oh yeah, don't just mindlessly mash "need" on drops. Think about it first.
The characters and animations are still going to look like shit unless they've made some significant changes to the team. Gamebryo certainly plays a part in Oblivion and Fallout's jankiness, but Bethesda themselves have just as much to do with it.
@Bishna: It's going to take more than that half-assed E3 trailer to make people want it. People will care again 2 months before release when Nintendo finally decides to show something new.
My game of the year probably would have been New Vegas if I could play through the game without getting a corrupted save file. I'll have to give it to Red Dead Redemption; it definitely has a lot of flaws, but it was very enjoyable overall and the ending sequence has left a lasting impact on me. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is another strong contender, but I didn't find the abundant 2d sections as fun as the rest.
@Jeffsekai: I assumed from his first comment that his problem was more with the character of Kratos, rather than the exclusive business. I agree with him on that part, I'd rather weird outside franchise deals and dlc weren't part of it. Edit: Actually the more I think about it the less I like it... starting to realize just how little they care about being taken seriously. Guess I just got excited when I imagined his fatalities.
@Rayfield: What exactly does his inclusion remove from the game? Everything you were excited about before is still there. It's nice that they're going back to the basics, but they're not just remaking MK2. It's a new game that'll have new features. As for the competitive scene, console exclusives being banned seems likely, so it hopefully won't affect much.... but I'm aware that just the concept of console exclusives enrages many people, so we'll see how that plays out. Ideally I would have preferred that it wasn't the case, but I can live with it.
http://stickskills.com/news/1360/kratos-to-star-in-upcoming-mortal-kombat/ Several sites are reporting that the January issue of Official Playstation Magazine reveals God of war's Kratos as an exclusive PS3 character. The issue will be out later this week. MK seems like a natural fit for him if true. How do you feel about console exclusive characters? If the 360 version ends up getting an exclusive character as well, will the lack of a definite version with a full roster hurt MK9's chances at becoming competetive?
