San Andreas is still my favourite, don't think another open world crime game in its genre has come close to it yet.

Although I dig Sleeping Dogs, I can't really compare it with anything until GTAV comes out, especially as others have said that GTAIV is a few years old.

For that price I suggest the HD7850 or 7870, or for Nvidia the 670/680. I have a 7850 and it has been good to me so far, and is also very easily overclocked so it performs nearly on par with the cards above it.

Most problems I have heard of regarding the 7800 series has been driver issues, but I have had none since updating to CCC drivers 12.6, and apparently 12.7 will be even better for the 7800 series.

If you can afford to spend a little more though I would probably go the 7970.

Don't get a CoolerMaster, rather stick with Corsair, Antecs, etc. Have heard a lot of negative things about CoolerMaster in general, and even though Antec had a few problems with certain models a few years ago, they are still one of the more reliable brands. I have been using an Antec 620 and it has been excellent for me.

Have had no screen tearing at all whatsoever so far, only 6 hours in, sometimes it seems people just assume if there is problems on one platform then it must be on another. The only annoyance for me so far is what some others said in that they way the menus sort of hang for a second or two.

Also expected it to look a bit better, it can look very ugly up close. Kind of disappointed with the visuals, thought there would be a good improvement over the first game, but still enjoying it overall.

the DEADLIEST WARRIOR.

LOL!

But in all honesty, the Russians have way more money, more resources, and pretty much more everything. And they are most likely way more ruthless than the others, more well trained too considering many of them are ex-Russian Special Forces. Add to that the fact that the Italian Mafia has been in serious decline, it is just the evolution of the criminal underworld; there will always be someone to take the place of the previous powers.

I'll never understand why America clings to its gun laws

Either will I, it seems so bloody stupid, but I guess it proves the power of the NRA and similar lobbies.

Australia had one bad massacre, the port Arthur massacre over 15 years ago and the gun laws were changed almost immediately; since that day there hasn't been another shooting massacre. If you need a gun for work/hunting/hobby etc. fine, but why do Americans need M-16s and M-4s and other high-power automatic weapons etc to protect themselves at home? It's nuts if you ask me.

Don't be ridiculous OP, of course it's worth it!

Plenty of exclusives on the way too, and add those to the ones already on the system and you will well get more than your moneys worth.

You should check out some of those used undies vending machines, maybe even buy a few pairs.

I used to be like that and have a heap of PS2, PS3, and PC games that I haven't yet tried or just played for an hour to test if they worked. In the last few years though I have settled a little and have tried to catch up but I always find myself slightly behind.

Still find it hard though, especially when you can order online and get great deals.

And if I had more money I am sure I would be way more addicted to buying.

I must agree with a few others when I say Manhunt; in terms of impact that violence was crazy. God of War (the first one and 3) mainly due to the surprise of watching such a brutal game and the way Kratos slices the guts of the centaurs and the innards just slide out.
