Sounds like this is another game that doesn't explain anything to you, so you are better off waiting a while for the internet to figure it out then reading a walkthrough.
Watching a recent trailer, it clicked with me that this game is State Of Decay w/ Coop in the Fox Engine. Instantly shot to the top of my "looking forward to" list since I love State of Decay, and wish it had coop, and think MGS5 has some of the best gameplay in the last decade.
@jabronie: that's correct. the current oculus package gets you the headset, the touch controllers, two sensors, and comes with a bunch of free games. though you kinda missed the amazing holiday sales that were going on for the hardware and the games. saw oculus' going for $350 and lots of games were half off or more. However i got mine during the summer at the $400 price and def don't regret it. a 3rd sensor is $60, plus lets be honest you'll need a usb extension cable too, and maybe a cheap usb hub.
I wish they looked at Lone Echo (the SP game), I've been playing it recently and love it. It's like a hard sci-fi adventure game, the central mystery/story is good too. The world building and characters are so great. Moving around in zero g is so satisfying. You can scan everything and get a paragraph or two about whatever it is you scanned. I love shit like that.
I def get where Jeff is coming from when a game that looks cool just turns out to be a shooting gallery. There's already enough good shooting games (Robo recall, Superhot, Arizona sunshine, to name a few). I've been loving the adventury kind of games, like I Expect You To Die and Lone echo, and a few other escape roomy games.
I think I only ever played this game once as a kid, because I was terrified of being chased by the enemies so I never played it again. But now it looks real cool, especially the puzzley stuff. I love stuff like that, just single screen puzzles with a few interesting interacting mechanics. (Catrap, Fire N Ice, Sokoban, The Witness)
