Great idea. I'm on there, too. Love this game. :)

I really enjoyed Endless Legend. I bought Civ: BE a long time ago and I'm looking forward to playing it next week. Endless Legend is a lot of fun. It combines Endless Space with Civ 5 and slams that concept into a hard fantasy setting. I've really enjoyed it as a change of pace from Civ. I did a sort of "Quick Look" for Endless Space over on my Twitch channel (MMegashark). Check it out if you want to see some more of the game before you think about buying.

Hey everyone. Long time premium member, first time poster. First of all, I'd like to thank Jeff, Vinny, Brad, and all the rest for dramatically changing the course of my life.

I went to school to learn to program games, but got sidetracked for seven years in the geothermal industry. I had sort of given up on ever working in games and had started distancing myself from games in general due to the unhappiness they caused me. It was about then that Jeff and the gang started Giant Bomb. This site jumpstarted my passion for games and got it running again. Since then I left the geothermal industry and I now work for a small game studio not far from the Giant Bomb offices in downtown SF (I'm above the Denny's across the street from the Metreon).

We're a small (15 people), independent game company that's been doing contract work for the last two years so that we could afford to make games we love. The first long-term labor of love is drawing close to release (early next year) but it's looking like we might not last as a company til release. A lot of our contract work was part of a major television network that recently went through restructuring and dropped their games division. As a result our income is drastically under our expenses and we're struggling to make it to release.

In an effort to save our company (and our jobs and dreams :P) we're doing a Kickstarter. We don't need a lot to make it to release and get the game out and supported. Even if we don't make it long after that, we really want to leave this game as part of our legacy. The game is called War of Omens and it's an online Deckbuilder/CCG hybrid. Here's the link to the kickstarter. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1564141972/war-of-omens-a-digital-deck-builder-ccg-hybrid/backers .

I've been lucky enough to live out my dreams of making video games for a living and I consider myself truly lucky to be where I am today. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this / look at the Kickstarter. You guys are rad as a community and GiantBomb is a literal life saver. Cheers!

Great article. It's often too easy to dismiss work that others have spent a significant amount of time and energy on. When you're not emotionally tied to something, you don't have a horse in the race. And if you're a fourteen year old asshat, you'll crap all over other people due to the psychological response of confirmation bias.
