This week's band is Man Man from Philadelphia, PA. I've been listening to them for a while now. Discovered them in '07 when they were touring with Modest Mouse. I honestly can't describe their style but their fans call it "gypsy jazz" which I can sorta understand. If anything I would consider it math rock but it does have some jazz feel to it. It's really close to Modest Mouse but after listening to them I think they're a little bit better, definitely more technical.
They use a wide range of instruments in their songs. Piano is on lead and the others accompany with trumpets, euphonium, sousaphone, xylophone, pots and pans and noisy toys.
Pretty sure blogs can be about what ever you want it to be. Why does it matter? Don't read it. I agree that people shouldn't put lame ones on the forums but most people more than likely don't know that. Anyway, this should be a blog, not a forum post. lol!
I don't think that. I think that within the next year he will get something done. I'm really crossing my fingers on that though since the government is that last thing I trust on this planet. But if he really is what he says he is then there might actually be hope.
The rarest thing I have is a Luigi on a cloud figurine from McDonald's some time in the early 90's. I remember having others from the collection but I don't know what happened to them.
"The title is enough to let you know it's crap. Trying to turn a fighting game into a movie (or any game, i know) is a bad idea. "
I thought the first Mortal Kombat flick was a valiant effort. It was pretty close to the source material, Goro looked good and had parts that were genuinely entertaining and not just fun because you could riff on them. "
That's the only one I can actually stand haha. The second MK film, god awful.
