At this point, whatever happens happens. Giant Bomb is different but does seem to have found its footing and it would be nice for that not to get fucked up. Just hope for the best for all involved.

It does feel extremely wonky in how the characters move/feel and the ways that their attacks interact (hit and hurt boxes), but at this point I'm finding that I'm having fun whether I win or lose. Overall, it's a surprisingly good game. I really hope that they have a bunch of characters in the chamber because I think that it'll live or die by how quickly the roster is able to expand.

What I do absolutely love is how MultiVersus looks. There's something about the way that the characters are animated that is really striking, fluid, and gorgeous. I think that the game is getting a ton of mileage out of that aspect alone with me.

If anyone involved ever wants to let what happened with Jeff's departure be known, then I would be more than happy to hear it, merely as a curiosity. However, I don't think that, at this point, it really matters. There is just as much, if not more, Jeff Gerstmann content out there to be consumed than ever, and Giant Bomb received a huge kick in the pants, as if to prove something in his absence. Whatever lead to it, the end result seems to be that everyone is happy.

Maybe Jeff didn't want or need a bunch of pats on the back and fanfare over what he helped create here. He knows his value. His coworkers know his value. The fans should know his value. That's probably enough.

We'll have to see what happens but I'm pretty happy about the outcome of everything. Nextlander is great and I love that they decided to keep doing what they do. Jeff Gerstmann is off on his own making podcasts and whatever else and I'm more than happy to continue listening to him talk about video games. And then there's Giant Bomb, who seems to have a solid group of people on board again.

I think that people need to relax and stop being all doom and gloom from the jump.

I think that they've got a really strong lineup, personally. I'm excited for the future of the site.

@facelessvixen: Oh man. I'm not even a gigantic fan of DMC4 (it might be my least favorite of the "good" DMC games [which just means all of them except for DMC2, I guess]) and the backtracking complaint pisses me off every time. Yes, you literally play through the entire game in reverse, but it is with a completely different character who has completely different mechanics. How is that any different than simply having multiple playable characters?

Few things will get me to clench my jaw and gnash my teeth more than calling something a "God of War clone." Lords of Shadow, Bayonetta, and God of War may all share the same genre, but holy shit do all three of them not play anything alike. That statement is flat out wring and it's also one of the laziest ways to critique a video game, so it is grating on multiple fronts.

Nothing specific is springing to mind at the moment but I find myself disagreeing with almost every complaint lobbed against Final Fantasy 7 Remake. I will absolutely give you that that game is a sequel and not a remake, however, so it's fair if you were legit pissed off that you were lied to.

I've always showered before bed because, yeah, the notion of lying down to sleep in your own filth has always been unappealing. However, now that I work an overnight shift, things are a little different: I get home from work in the morning, immediately hit the gym and shower after that. Then I'm up for a bit and go to sleep about noon and when I wake up in the evening to get ready for work, part of the routine is to shower again. So, it's both for me, and my water bill reflex that.

It's a weird problem that isn't even unique to Elden Ring. Is the enthusiast review useful to the non-fan? Is the non-fan review useful to the enthusiast? Does the enthusiast/fanboy need a review at all? It was enough for me to just see the game running to know that it was something that I'd probably enjoy, and nothing short of "this game is flat out busted" was going to get me to change my mind. But if you're someone who has never loved a From Software game in your life, were you already ignoring Elden Ring ever since its announcement, and doubly so after the gameplay reveal where you saw that it looked identical to their last 5 games?

I don't really know what the answers to these questions are, but it is an interesting thing to think about.

There's no way that you buy Activision Blizzard and all of the current bad press that goes with it if you don't plan to get rid of all of the troublemakers eventually. And then you come out looking like the hero for showing all of the shit-bags the door.
