Nah. My wife is getting it for me for xmas. I've been given orders not to buy any new games til then lol. Dragon Age: Inquisition gets a pass, though, as I pre-ordered it months ago.

I'm halfway through Assail. It's the most current book in the Malazan series by Esslemont. It's amazing, as are all of Esslemont's books. It took him a while, but I feel he's right up there with Erikson now.

He is? I quit Esslemont halfway through Crimson Guard. Short of Night of Knives which was good, Malazan fanservicey fun, Esslemont's stuff just bored me to tears. But then Erikson is a very, very hard act to follow.

Absolutely. Erikson is a phenomenon so maybe "up there" is a bit strong, but I pre-order every one of Esslemont's books and look forward to them as much as I look forward to Erikson's next entry into the Kharkanas series. Orb Sceptre Throne is my favorite of Esslemont's so far, though it looks as if Assail may trump it.

I also picked up World of Ice and Fire. In a word: Phenomenal. I've been reading and re-reading A Song of Ice and Fire since 1996, and this book is everything I would have wanted in a history book of that world.

Just finished my first playthrough and I absolutely loved it. I played Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, but not for long. It wasn't the difficulty that stopped me, it was the lack of a pause feature. I need to be able to walk away from a game on a moment's notice for my career. I could pause Lords of the Fallen, so that made all the difference. Man do I love this game.

I was all-in for Shadow of Mordor. And it exceeded my already lofty expectations.

Witcher 3 and Dragon Age Inquisition are next up. I expect both to be as good as I'm hoping.

Ditto

Well that solidifies if for me: Destiny is not for me. I was a hardcore endgame raider in WoW for years and have no desire to revisit that life ever again. Good for them for the accomplishment though. It's pretty badass.

I'm a cop (Mountie) in Canada and I enforce highway laws. If it's good road conditions in a 110km/h zone and the flow of traffic is normal, I usually won't pull you over unless you are going 15km/h or more over the limit.
