@Th3_James: Damn straight. I clicked through to your profile and saw you left an earlier comment on this thread - one I chuckled at earlier. A+

Remember when Vinny said "cunt" .. ? That was pretty neat.

Ryan felt that using this word went against his own moral compass and he apologized for using it. Saying he doesn't have to probably doesn't matter to him - it's how he feels about it that matters in this case. There are very few words I won't use and 0 words I don't think are funny in the right context.

I don't know what the point of me posting anything here is other than I wanted to type out the word "cunt."

It's my favorite word.

@NegativeCero: I'm in college, too. ;) This was with my school.

@NicksCorner: He was pretty chill about the whole thing, really.

@morrelloman: I would say if you can't be in an open top jeep then don't do it. Why would you want to worry about getting a bad seat in a covered one? No reason to not have them. Also the beach sucks and I would probably be wary of traveling anywhere outside of South Africa. /shrug

@benspyda: Floooooofy! :)

I talked to a friend last night who is spoiler-indifferent and just told him everything that happens ever in the series. It felt good to share it with someone. Right now there's a bunch of cool shit happening and I know how it changes or develops later on. You might have an opinion on a character or event that could completely change over time. AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT IT.

Like how Tyrion tells us the sad story about his "wife" who turned out to be a whore and he had to watch screw all his father's guardsmen. But then later we (and Tyrion, who was clueless) find out she really wasn't a whore and that story was even sadder than it initially was!

@SirPsychoSexy: What school do you go to? Surely if it's a bigger school they have some sort of study abroad thing ~ if not there are a lot of places that offer non-school-affiliated trips at discount rates for students!

Well hello there! I recently did a study abroad trip in South Africa and GOD DAMN ARE SAFARIS EXPENSIVE. However... I do have a recommendation of a really neat place I visited. It is sort of a part of the Kruger and is called "Sabi Sands." It's a private game reserve and there are bunch of little "camps" set up within it. This is considered one of the "nicer" areas to go. I went for school so I got a discount where I stayed but there are really a variety of different choices ranging from "cheap" to omg wtf thousands per night. Here is a link to its home page: http://sabi.krugerpark.co.za/

Within Sabi Sands I specifically stayed at Umkumbe which is run by one family and their, uh, "help." Be advised that if you go to South Africa, racism is alive and well and very abundant. The husband is very nice (his name is Herman) and he is very strange and also hilarious. His wife, Celeste, is also very nice but a little uptight. Their sons are assholes but they are usually in boarding school. The maids/staff are treated well, don't get me wrong, but seeing them be so subservient to their bosses is a little too reminiscent of slavery to me. According to the tour guide I had while I was there (a part of my study abroad, Herman would be your tour guide otherwise) this family actually treats staff much better than a lot of other places nearby. All your meals are taken care of for you (breakfast is awesome). You get your own private bungalow with a bathroom with a shower. It's actually nicer than what any of me and my fellow students were expecting. Here's a link specifically to Umkumbe: http://www.umkumbe.co.za/rates-and-reservations/

There's other nearby places but I can only speak specifically to Umkumbe. We went out every morning around 6-7 AM and every evening around 5 PM on a safari (most of the animals rest too much during the daylight for it to be worht it). We one time had hyenas literally walk all up in our business at the bungalows and they scared the shit out of the cooks. One of the bungalows also has an extensive front porch that gets a lot of sun in the morning and it is often occupied by a specific leopard when you wake up.. super cool stuff.

There's also a nature rehabilitation center nearby where you can get up close and personal with a lot of animals (cheetahs!!!!). It's called the Maholoholo Rehab Center.

I guess all this information is only good if you plan on heading to South Africa! And this area is nowhere near any beaches but it's considered some of the best safari area you can find.

Also the open-air jeeps they take you out on have a tracker seat in the front and SHIT IS CRAZY!
