It's 9:35 and I'm thinking about pizza for dinner.

I normally find it's inversed.

Life turning to shit? Time to immerse myself in a game. The more complex and time consuming the better.

On the other hand, if everything is peachy I find I have less time to indulge in gaming as I'm busy doing 'real life' stuff.

I've ploughed 20 hours into this game. I'm not sure what it is, but it scratches this itch that harkens back to the days of getting hooked on random shareware on my 486.

Good work Patrick. Not much more information forthcoming, but you expanded on some ideas that I hadn't even considered with the new controller and Wii motes. The additional sensor bar on the controller sounds intriguing.

Ahh, crap. Just when I thought I was safe from the lure of yet another steam purchase. £6 well spent though.

Whilst I can understand that most people will certainly already have a solution in place for playing DVD's, it seems somewhat stingy to omit this from the Wii U. Up till now 'convergence' has been the buzz word. Is this the start of a trend to go back to dedicated devices for a specific purpose?

I never really got Twisted Metal. The closest I ever got to enjoying the car based combat genre was Interstate 76 & Carmageddon. Good on Jaffe though. Although I don't agree with a lot of his viewpoints, I do always enjoy hearing from someone who is passionate and has a firm opinion.

I really hope that this little spat is resolved in time for BF3's arrival. I'd rather invest in a physical copy of BF3 than rely on EA's digital store which may not exist a year or so down the line,

Really surprised that Brink continues to do so well. Makes me wonder whether most people actually read game reviews before buying stuff??

Yeah, seems like a strange direction to take that particular franchise. I suppose it's probably down to the struggle to get investment in brand new IP. Maybe nobody wants to take a gamble on something without a track record. Even if it is a massive departure from the previous games.
