I like the way that the Assassin's Creed games and Mass Effect 3 did it. I like paper manuals just as I like paper books but if they are going away anyway having a nice text manual in a submenu is a decent tradeoff.

Women in the workplace should be treated with the same respect as their male coworkers. Women should not be singled out and abused for their sex while playing games. Women should not be patronized when discussing video games.

I think it's great that more women are getting into game development and I look forward to their continuing contributions to the medium. However I don't think certain games should change just to accommodate the female game players out there. As their numbers rise the market will address their needs.

Pretty good reviews so far that's good to see. I liked Far Cry 2 a lot anyway so this game would have to do something truly bad for me to not want to play it.

I only hope people research the game before they see the score and think they have to play it only to later hate it and lambast the game for getting undeserved praise. The backlash against Far Cry 2 is absurd if you ask me.

Ryo Hazuki. An appearance in a Sonic kart racing game is not enough.

Even as a non premium member and fan of the site I still get a good bit of entertainment out of it. They have one of the few podcasts I have ever followed that doesn't have at least one annoying member. There are no platform fanboys amongst the cast and if there are they keep it well under wraps. Every one of them has an interesting perspective on games and distinct personalities that show through in their video content and on the bombcast. Other sites just don't match that in my opinion.

I also don't care if they don't show a game perfectly in a quick look or show a general disinterest in one from time to time. My life is not invested in these games. How they feel about them has absolutely no bearing on my life. I watch them to see the game in action and hopefully get some either insightful or funny commentary from the ones playing it. Some are duds I will admit but those are usually on games I pretty much had no interest in to begin with.

Maybe I'm okay with things because I'm not actually giving money to the site. Maybe the paying side of the membership doesn't feel they're getting their money's worth though and that's too bad. It's gotta be tough for these guys though to try and make all the content that needs to be available for free users and on top of that make the premium userbase feel that they're not being ripped off. I really don't envy their position.

Most video games as they exist today are so absurd that I would be embarrassed to have a title like that attached to one. The medium has a bit to grow before I would feel comfortable with there being a "Great American Game."

I think it will be a nice balance of tight urban environments and sprawling countryside. Also when you think about it the size isn't ridiculously huge. Just Cause 2's map is 400 square miles whereas GTA V is what, 30-40?

What I hope they nail correctly is the transition from urban to rural though. In San Andreas it basically went from bustling city to the sticks with no suburbs in between.

But Just Cause's world was not focused at all, it was a bunch of copy pasted stuff. It worked for that game, but it wouldn't work for a GTA game.

That's still a tenth the size though based on my larger guess. Also you don't need as much detail put into the wilderness areas as you do the main city. I'd be happy to see Los Santos itself with suburbs take up a third of the map with the rest devoted to countryside and wilderness with small towns peppered in. Basically that's Los Santos fitting in the entire map of GTA San Andreas. I'll accept some copy and pasting for a sowewhat more realistically sized city.
