Free aim because its really similar to max Payne 3 and just makes the combat more rewarding. Auto aim / lock on seems like a hangover from from when third person shooting sucked, no need for it now.
Is the lock on / auto aim different in GTA 5 compared to past GTA games? Everyone keeps saying its easier but I swear its implementation always been that way.
I'm really tired of the gender in video games debate. It was an interesting topic 10 years ago nay even 5 years ago. Yet, I feel now while things are far from perfect, video games are on the whole smarter, more inclusive and more sensitive to social issues. It just seems like a short hand topic for critics, journalists to use in order to preach regurgitated, self masturbatory, "Oh look at me I'm so socially progressive" bollocks. I'm sorry but that article was so poor and contrived. Yes, having more games with female leads would be great but only if it fits the story the devs want to tell. Writing a story because of positive discrimination is not art but pathetic, weak visioned, pandering. Games are still evolving as a medium, games criticism should be a reflection of the demographic as well as a inspirational speaking platform to instill new ideas from the community. It should not be a continued spew of hot white noise from an agenda pushing non entity.
@shivoa Thanks for the detailed info, having a GTX 470 I just instinctively know now when something isn't quite right temp wise. I just spend so much time dicking around with nvidia profiles these days because of poor optimization. Some demanding games are fine other less demanding are smoking the card. I have my custom fan profile in MSI so its fine.
I work on game art as a hobby, mess around in udk / unity so I find the fixing of problems / research of this stuff fascinating but sometimes I just want to play lol.
Yeah I need to research a replacement a bit more thoroughly as long as I have zbrush, 3ds max & RAM! I'm golden, I'll just go play system shock 2 again and that ain't a bad thing.
This is a question for all gtx 470 owners playing gone home. What kind of temps are you getting? On max settings I'm hitting 90/95 and on some of the lower settings its not much better. It's weird for a unity game to be so stressing, I've played the witcher 2 and metro on medium to high settings and been hitting a nice 80. Is it all those high res textures and bad optimization causing the heat? baaa I'm ready to replace this card temp is all over the place for games, any recommendations for replacement? Cheers.
The UK is shit. When I go on holiday It's like coming home to something approaching a localized version of silent hill. I live near London and while it can be fun its a soulless and shitty place that saps the life out of the best of us. Don't get me wrong I love English culture film, art, comedy etc but the governments a joke, greedy cunty corporations, zero jobs, the daily mail, dipping back into censorship laws of the 50's WTF!!!! fuck the UK.
Wow... I'm genuinely taken a back didn't know the guy but tuned in every week, listened to pod cast for about a year now, this just feels very wrong. RIP Ryan Davis.
