That's not too much. I paid €325, or $428, for a PS3 in 2009. I'd probably pay anything up to €499, possibly more. Fuck, I just paid €519 for my Galaxy S3. And I'm sure as hell going to have a PS4 for a lot longer.
New consoles can't be coming out this year. Rockstar must know something we don't...
I don't see why they'd release such a high-profile title so close to new hardware. Either Durango/PS4 are going to be Backwards Compatible [doubt it, especially in Sony's case] or the hardware won't be out until Q1 2014. Take-Two and Rockstar bank on these titles for maximum sales, and if anything this seems like it's only going to hurt them.
I'll still get it because I love GTA, regardless. Just seems odd.
I'm pretty sure Rockstar can afford to not give a fuck.
"All these other people's opinions are clearly wrong, they are simply too dumb to describe the quality of this game - I alone am capable of this." This thread, in a sentence.
Actually I'm just expressing my opinion about other opinions and people are giving their opinions of that opinion about opinions and none of it matters because subjective opinions are not objective and other INTERNET STUFF
Exactly. Which contradicts the entire basis for your thread. "Overrated" is the absolute worst moniker for expressing opinion. It's a meaningless word solely used to stir up commotion and spark flame wars on message boards. Calling something "overrated" heavily implies everyone else is wrong, and you yourself are the only one who can see through the façade.
In short, you're probably a really great dude, but this thread sucks.
Finished 999 last week, and went to find a copy of VLR for the Vita the next day. 999 is the best story in a video game since.. well.. I'm havimg a hard time thinking of a better one. Blew my mind.
About 15 hours into VLR now, and the intrigue and connections to 999 are slowly trickling in. No idea how it's all going to wrap up yet, but I absolutely can't stop playing. A shame I didn't finish it before the year ended, considering it'll probably end up being one of my 10 favorite games from 2012.
I wonder if this surge of popularity has any effect on 999's sales. As far as I know, it didn't do bad for a VN/puzzle game, but there's been so much buzz lately it almost feels like a second life. Hell, I'm European and imported the game from the U.S.
