A few gameplay issues early on seem to have soured people. If you can get past those however, it's easy to get drawn in and get lost in the compelling story and refreshingly original characters.

The textboox example of an incredible game that just didn't click with the general public when it was released. The art style makes this a game that still holds up fairly well graphically.

I've never played a game quite like Twinkle Star Sprites before. This game really shines when played against a second player. The anime graphics hide what are simple, yet surprisingly deep competitive gameplay elements.

One of the few genuinely hilarious games I've had the pleasure of playing over the years. The story will have you laughing out loud in places, and it's a fairly decent action-platformer to boot.
