It a'int the firmware, you probably would have gotten it anyway.  Also, if that was the case, why are you discussing that here?  This needs to be taken to Sony.  None of us work for Sony, we have no idea if they will "comp" you for this inconvenience.

Yeah, it's pretty funny. This whole thing will fade so fast once people actually get back online, and back to playing their games. This is really no different then taking a pacifier away from a baby. The baby might be completely fine, content, and quiet while they have it, but then you take it away and it's instant RAAAAAGGGEEE, screaming, kicking, and flailing about. Then you give them back the pacifier, and it's immediate silence again...Yep... I know I'm not dropping any knowledge bombs on anyone (this is fairly obvious to anyone that has used the internet for more than a month), but the world is full of sensationalistic crybabies. "
Exactly.

" It's been something that has been talked about for years, Especially this generation since Sony added blu-ray to their PS3.Fangirls from each side have argued back and forth over the +/- of DVD-9/Blu-Ray and one of the biggest arguements has been about disc space or the need for multiple discs.Multiple discs has been something we as gamers have used without any grumbling for many years now, Infact a game on multiple discs back in psone days was exciting as we assumed the multiple discs ment much greater games in terms of visuals, sounds, gameworlds etc, But now it's seems multiple discs is a big negative, Yes it is more convenient for everything to be on one disc but if we must switch a disc 2-3 times during 15-100hrs of gameplay it probably only adds up to about 1-2mins of time wasted, Me i have no problem with reaching over and switching discs i just did it last night for dead space 2.I would argue that blu-ray discs lose allot more time than DVD-9 disc switching due to installing data and longer load times because of the slower disc read speeds.I have both system and am undecided which system to buy it for, In my eyes the disc formats are not a factor i am more bothered about quality, with Frame rate speeds and load times being the main factor and graphical quality second. Good to hear Sony, thank you for getting this garbage takin' care of.  I might be one of the few here that feels you handled this alright.  I'm excited to see the rewards we will receive too.  I look forward to moving on with the rest of us gamers.  Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat night anyone!?

@Undeadpool: They didn't do anything like that.  Many false reports have come out since all this began.  No credit card companies have detected any fraud from this situation.  This is called spreading paranoia.

You all are so dramatic.  Don't worry about your information, that isn't what they were after.  This was all done to make Sony look bad.  Sony just found out it really was ANON who did it.  They have no interest in your CC numbers.

I completely agree and understand why it was cancelled.  I was actually looking forward to it, but they're right, it just isn't worth pouring anymore money into with all the other games coming out.  Maybe another time.
