  • OS: Windows 8
  • Browser: Chrome 28, Firefox 22
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Type of Player: Streaming
  • Adblock: Off (Subscriber)

Specific problem: I am having the same issue as a couple of members above, in that I can download videos at full bandwidth, but when I try to watch on the site using the streaming player the video goes between HD and LQ at will which basically makes watching things on the site impossible. Location is UK, and bandwidth is 30mbit down. Live shows are fine, it's just the inbuilt player with its 'auto' selection; going back to the 3 options that the old player had (that the HTML5 and Progressive players also have) would likely alleviate this issue. Of course, I don't know how difficult or practical reimplementing that feature would be. HTML5 stutters for me (low-power processor) and Progressive doesn't support scanning so I can't use either of those.

Thanks.

Truth be told, I noticed something similar on my 3DS XL. I have an original 3DS for comparison and the touch screen feels rougher and less responsive on the XL, and whenever I do any swiping motion (such as panning in a room in VLR) I find myself constantly checking whether or not I have scratched the screen.

These were a good set of interviews, thank you for posting them.

All the best for the future.
