Went and saw Deep Purple yesterday, my 2nd ever concert. What is it about concerts that are so fucking amazing? I mean, it's indescribably awesome.

But, when Ian Paice and Steve Morse were throwing drumsticks and guitar picks, I always have some mob of doom in my way, dammit.

But I had an amazing time yesterday, concerts are just simply kickass, even the other band before them (Gotthard) were pretty good stuff!

Gears of War and Death Magnetic by Metallica. And impressions:

Gears of War: Seeing as this is my real entry game into the world of the 360, I must say I'm impressed. The graphics look awesome, and the action is fun and brutal. Although I have to admit it took a little while to get used to, I got my ass mauled about 7 times before I really started to get in the swing of things. And also:

My dad bought me the Xbox 360 ELITE (the black $400 version) for my birthday. I was not expecting this at all today, it's awesome. (With that said, my birthday party was a bit more lax than I imagined it, only 6 people out of about 15 came, but it was still fine.)

Now I just need for Rock Band 2 to arrive in the mail, and I can get down to business. (After of course, I get Xbox Live connected, the Elite comes with Silver.).

And, if anyone reads this, what are some essentials for a 360? (Games I should get, other accessories etc.) I realize already that eventually it might be a good idea to upgrade to Xbox Live Gold, but that can wait. I'm not even connected, or have any games besides a demo disc (I tried out Dark Sector on it, just that made me really want to go try out a game like Gears of War, or a similar game, the graphics and the controls were a bit different, but I grew onto it fast. Looks great.)

So then, my gamertag is VerdugoRE4, I have to connect Xbox Live, and I need for Rock Band 2 to arrive.

A lot to look forward to, if I didn't have this damn project looming over my head, actually PROJECTS. I need to wrap them up in time otherwise if they turn out shitty enough they could damage my grades in History and Literature, turning my Streight As into crap. Plus, on top of that, I have my normally scheduled and incredibly dull homework bothering me as well, curse you German and Algebra!

Anyways, once I get Rock Band 2, I'll get to connecting Xbox Live and eventually playing with some of you online. Seriously, I really want to try out an Online Band Quickplay with some of my friends on here. So I'm turning 15 today:). Mom got me the latest issue of Xbox magazine, 30 bucks with a card, and a fucking delicious subway sandwitch. Along with now ( I need to eat it, so I'm typing fast), a chocolate cake.

This is just stopgap for the haul I'm going to recieve on Saturday (which is cash mostly), but a few days after saturday, I'm getting an Xbox 360 and the Rock Band 2 bundle over the mail!
