Best of 2011
2011 was a great year for games. Let's start this list out with my GOTY:

Gears of War 3 is the most refined sequel I've ever played. The game is packed with awesome multiplayer features and great downloadable content to keep Gear-heads playing for a very long time.

Probably the most complete fighter ever made. Anybody can pick up and appreciate this video game, and it should remind you why you play games in the first place.

After playing hours and hours of Saints Row: The Third, I've discovered some real problems with the game itself, but these issues can not setback how fun and amazing this game can be. The action, set-pieces and hilarious story make Saints one this years biggest surprises.

It might be more of the same, but who cares? Naughty Dog gives you more of what you want with bigger set pieces, an intense story and a nice multiplayer component.

MVC3 may have a very steep learning curve, but anyone that knows fighters can respect what was done with this title. This game is insane to watch, play and master, and is definitely for the hardcore.

Black/White has been one of the most addicting experiences for me in the 2011 year. A hilarious new cast of Pokemon and a well-structured story makes the whole Pokemon experience feel fresh again.

For me, Sonic Generations was a HUGE surprise. For many years Sonic hasn't been able to make the mark, but it seems his luck is beginning to change for the better. Great level design, versatility and some of the best music you will hear in a game this year.

THQ gave us a new wrestling experience earlier this year that made sense: Brutal, stupid fun. All Stars is not a serious game by any means, but combines a great era and a terrible one very well.

If you dedicate some serious time into this game, you will learn to play guitar. Not to mention it's probably the funnest way there is to learn.
