Every Video Game I've Ever Beaten.

Basically a list of all the games I have beaten in my life. I know it looks short, but that is due to the site not listing a few obscure games and because they don't register multiple versions of a game, instead preferring to umbrella them all into one page. In either case...I don't know what to do, honestly. Just trust me on the number, I have a much more complete list that solves all these problems.

megaman X6 was a pretty bad title compared to the other X games
impressive list

I'm aware, that's why I gave it....whatever score I gave it. Man, I really wish these things had a search function.

holy fuck, you truly are the video game emperor

Posted by Video_Game_King

Not yet, because I haven't really conquered other kingdoms.

Posted by guiseppe

I wouldn't have the patience to make this list for myself, I've beaten way too many games. Anyway, nice idea for a list :).

Posted by Black_Rose

Nice list. I'm going to steal your idea and make one of my own :P

Posted by Video_Game_King

Go ahead; we all know it's nowhere near as big as mien. Uwee hee hee!

You truly are the Video Game King.

*Bows to the king*

Your list kicks the shit out of mine.

Posted by Video_Game_King
@TMThomsen:

No, it kicks the undigested food of its stomach, eliminating the need to kick the shit out of it. That is how awesome my list is.
Posted by TMThomsen

How do you come up with the scores? Do you have a system or is it just what you feel like?

Posted by Video_Game_King

I follow the "Shut Up, I've Got This" system of scoring games.

Posted by StarFoxA

So I tried to list every game I've ever completed, and it comes to about 200. Pales in comparison.

Posted by Video_Game_King

Obviously, since I'm in the low 900s at the time of typing this.

Posted by Dragon_Puncher

Yeah, beating a game every week for 16 years sure isn't a lot...

Posted by Video_Game_King
@Dragon_Puncher:

Are you sarcastic or an idiot? It's hard to tell. I've beaten almost 1000 games; that's a lot, by any count.
Posted by StarFoxA

I'm about to catch up to you, having completed around 220 games. I'd watch out if I were you.

Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

Keep in mind that I reached that several years ago, back on GameSpot. You've a long way to go, especially since I beat Romancing SaGa yesterday.

Au contraire, my game playing friend, I recently completed the original Metroid for the first time (as in yesterday). Obviously a much better game than this "Romancing SaGa."
Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

A.) Yes, it is better. I'm writing a blog explaining why.
B.) Keep in mind that back when I hit 200, I was only beating one game per blog.
C.) Romancing SaGa is close to an unbeatable game. Wrap your head around that.
Posted by StarFoxA
@Video_Game_King: I, however, am not constrained by petty "blogs." I can play as I choose, without having to write about it later. AHAHAHA

@StarFoxA:

Oh, it's on, now! * turns on battle music, uses video game transformation powers to split self several times* You stand no chance now! Not that you stood a chance when I was one; I crap out these blogs rather quickly. In fact, I'm about to beat Wii Sports Resort, and shortly after, the blog for it shall be done.
Posted by StarFoxA
@Video_Game_King: All right, cool, I'm going to go finish Metroid II now. And then maybe finally do the last couple missions of Call of Duty 2 after that.
Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

Metroid II? You're still on that? I finished that LONG ago. You've quite a bit of catching up to do. I'll be on Red Dead Redemption.
Posted by StarFoxA
@Video_Game_King: I have a TON of games that I've been meaning to get around to for a long time, but never played. I've only played one Final Fantasy game, never touched a Phantasy Star or Shining Force, have most of the Sonic games to finish, and I've only ever finished a single game on a Sony console (Symphony of the Night, which was technically on XBLA).
Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

Ah, but keep in mind that I've still many a game I've never touched. There are still several systems waiting for me to dive in, like the Jaguar or the Sega CD again. Having more ground to cover does not give you the upper hand.
Posted by StarFoxA
@Video_Game_King: I'm only about 800 behind. I can probably find that many games on the NES alone.
Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

And you think I couldn't? I don't beat the obviously crap games. If I wanted to do that, my count would probably be around 1400 or something.
Posted by StarFoxA
@Video_Game_King: Oh, we'll see... we will see...
Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

Oh, yes. We. Will. Mine's more dramatic, so I win. Or, in Drama-Speak:

Mine's. More. Dramatic. So. I. Win.
Posted by StarFoxA
@Video_Game_King: Well, I just finished Metroid II, so you can see how my accelerated pace will be beneficial in catching up to you.
Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

Keep in mind that you'll eventually run out of games to beat. Remember my pre-900 games beaten blog? Or was it my 99th blog? Hold on. OK, it was my 99th blog. 100th was better, but my point is that the same thing will happen to you.
Posted by StarFoxA

Well, you might get ahead of me considering the stupid thing I'm attempting next: Ninja Gaiden II on the 360. I may end up throwing my controller through my TV, giving you an advantage (besides the whole 800 games ahead of me thing).

Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

Ninja Gaiden II? That's it? I beat AND reviewed that long ago. Try Takeshi's Challenge. Even with a walkthrough (you'll need a walkthrough), you can't beat it. Oh, and I beat Wii Sports Resort this morning, so that's another advantage.
Posted by StarFoxA

Well, I typically suck at games and I made the stupid decision to play on Way of the Warrior, when it's something that is barely feasible to a gamer as "talented" as me. I don't really feel like completely starting over from Chapter 6 to play on Acolyte (at this point I'm considering it), but the next eight chapters are going to be absolutely brutal.

@StarFoxA:

I, by comparison, am almost finished with Game 2 of my next blog. And you thought you could catch up...
Posted by StarFoxA

The journey of 10,000 miles begins with a single step!

Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

Not if you drive there :P.
Posted by StarFoxA

Come to think of it... how do you consider some of these games "finished," like Pac-Man or the plethora of Atari 2600 games that don't essentially have an ending? Spend a good amount of time with it? Kill screen?

Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

Complete a cycle (AKA wait for the game to start repeating stages in generally the same order).
Posted by StarFoxA

Well I think you should take Pac-Man off this list until you manage to get through all 255 (I think?) stages.

Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

They're all the exact same stage. Therefore, I can keep it on there; doing what you suggest would be beating the game 256 times.
Posted by StarFoxA

I don't think that you legitimately completed it. Even if all 256 stages are the same, you can always criticize the repetitiveness of the game.

Or you could buy it on XBLA, get an S-rank, and count that as 100% completion. I'd be fine with that.

Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

Technically, by completing the one, unchanging stage in the game, I have 100% completed it, and, therefore, have beaten it.
Posted by StarFoxA

Key word is technically.

Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

Um....OK? My count is still higher than yours, though, no half-kinda-arguing that.
Posted by StarFoxA

Be that way. :P

Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

What, do you plan to fight that? There's no real way to do so, as we're both gonna keep beating games. Given that I've the head start, you shall never catch up....just as Zeno foretold...
Posted by StarFoxA

Haha, just kidding.

Yeah, you'll keep playing games. Unless someone sabotages your ability to do so.

Posted by Video_Game_King
@StarFoxA:

How so? I see no foreseeable way of doing so. Keep in mind that I've still many a game to beat, and that's with a few limits (I've only beaten one Neo Geo Pocket game, I stopped Saturn games long ago, etc.). Imagine what would happen if I removed such limits!
