Every Video Game I've Ever Beaten.

Basically a list of all the games I have beaten in my life. I know it looks short, but that is due to the site not listing a few obscure games and because they don't register multiple versions of a game, instead preferring to umbrella them all into one page. In either case...I don't know what to do, honestly. Just trust me on the number, I have a much more complete list that solves all these problems.

What if you computer mysteriously got a virus and all of your gaming consoles "broke?"

Edit: Lemme guess... it was Sonic the Hedgehog: Pocket Adventure! Great game. I still want to play through Metal Slug: 1st Mission and Metal Slug: 2nd Mission.

No, you told me when I told you that I had finished it (oh, speaking of which, I went on and finished all six of the original Mega Man games and they are ranked this way in my mind: Mega Man 2, Mega Man 4, Mega Man, Mega Man 6, Mega Man 5, Mega Man 3. Accurate?)

Too bad Kefka sounds more like Dr. Zoidberg than anything frightening, not to mention the fact that I already destroyed him at the end of Final Fantasy VI (Edgar's techs did like 9999 damage to him apiece). If you're equating yourself to Kefka, then I probably have a pretty good chance of defeating you.

Not really accurate. I'll look up my scores later, but I believe it was 2 3 1 and I forget the rest. Also, all six? There are at least four more after it, and I'm being very strict with my numbering there. There's still a few Game Boy ones, a Game Gear one, and three crappy PC ones.

*yawn* We can all destroy Kefka. Destroy this fucker here. Or this shit. Keep in mind that I can transform into any video game character I want and gain their powers. It's in my mini-bio, if I recall correctly. You stand no chance!

When I said original I meant the first six NES games (already finished Mega Man 7, plan on finishing eight and nine at some point, still have to buy ten, might play the Game Boy and Game Gear ones, doubt I'll play the PC ones). Also, there were only two PC Mega Men, right? Mega Man and Mega Man 3, if I remember correctly.

So what you're saying is that I have to master the ability to beat JRPG bosses? Does that require me to learn Japanese? If so, I'll just go ahead and give up now. I'm no linguist.

Weird, I thought there was a Mega Man 2 on the PC. Either way, they both suck.

Not exactly. I just chose those guys because they're the only ones who have ever elicited rape analogies. (See respective blogs for each.) Beat those games, and you've a chance. Besides, I don't know Japanese. I'm teaching myself, but I still can't form a sentence in Japanese, probably because I haven't learned any verbs.

Wait, which one? For Devil Survivor, yes, but they were of no avail. For RS2, there is a translation available that translates most of the moves, names, and stuff, but I still used a walkthrough. Imagine Mother 3's first patch.

Oh, I waited until the full translation patch for Mother 3. I wanted the whole experience. Fantastic translation, on par with most professional translations.

The keyword there is most. As in, "Devil Survivor has a shit translation that even fan translations beat with one hand." Mother 3 did have an excellent translation, but the actual game is pretty overrated. Again, why do characters learn magic via some mystical herpes?

Mother 3 ended up being my favorite game of the Mother series. Its quirkiness is really part of what makes it a great game, although it did have a good amount of emotional depth (particularly the ending). EarthBound comes in second, and Mother is my least favorite (I played it with an easytype patch because that game is brutal).

I've never played Devil Survivor, but the consistent hate you give it makes me want to play it so I can see what the big deal is. It was pretty well-received critically, right?

My favorite entry was the original Earthbound. Mother 3 had a bit too much story and the gameplay was rough around the edges. Also, it was an emotional mess.

That game is the very reason why I trust no critic. The game is a hateful, cruel game that feels significantly unfinished. Do not play it, no matter how much my hatred has generated curiosity within you. I made that mistake with Bubsy.

I know what you mean about critics. I absolutely abhorred Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime Hunters. For some reason I really liked Metroid Prime 3, though, so maybe it's just that I'm incredible obtuse. Maybe I'll end up liking Devil Survivor for the same reasons you hate it (I liked Metroid Prime 3 for the same reasons I hated Hunters and the original Prime).

You don't like Metroid Prime!? YOU MUST DIE! Also, confusing relationship with Metroid Prime 3, that. If you really want to play Devil Survivor, place a copy of Final Fantasy Tactics into a blender alongside The World Ends with You. Take what's left in the blender after its job is done, and throw it all into your face. That's what Devil Survivor is like.

Well I liked The World Ends With You (one of my favorite DS games, and probably one of the most unique games I've ever played), but I've never played Final Fantasy Tactics. I guess that it could be cool.

Just play Final Fantasy Tactics. Either version will work, but the PSP version has some kickass cutscenes. It has one of those stories that transcends the phrase, "Oh, it has a good story for a video game."

The issue arises that I don't have a PSP. But should Final Fantasy Tactics really be my PlayStation induction? If anything, I think I should begin playing games on the PlayStation with Chrono Cross.

I believe my PS1 induction was Final Fantasy VI, but on Chrono Cross, I've never played it. Still, I'd go with Final Fantasy Tactics, since it's sort of like the story of Fire Emblem 4 mixed with everything else in Tactics Ogre.

I started Chrono Cross a while back, and the music and battle system are both reminiscent of Chrono Trigger, meaning I will probably have a great time playing it.

I've only ever played the two GBA Fire Emblem games. Fire Emblem 4 is... Seisen no Keifu?

I'm sure there are walkthroughs for those areas that contain the English text. I'll play Seisen no Keifu after I finish the next couple games on my playlist; Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters and the first Marvel vs. Capcom.

Myths & Monsters was supposed to be the Kid Icarus sequel that explains why there aren't Kid Icarus sequels; I haven't beaten Marvel Vs Capcom, mainly because any PS1 version of a Marvel Vs game will inevitably suck.

Actually, I just checked Goozex (game trading site, if you don't know what that is) and it looks like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is coming today. I borrowed it from a friend a while ago and spent 30 hours playing it, so this game should keep me preoccupied for a couple weeks.

Oblivion is the only game in the series that I have played, but it comes highly recommended. Even though it's from Bethesda, it's nothing like Fallout 3 (which I hated). It's probably pretty cheap nowadays (I'm getting the Game of the Year edition for the equivalent of $15).

The shooting mechanics were dull, I didn't like how the game essentially relies on VATS when that mechanic is pretty broken (Bethesda should have focused on making the shooting great instead of trying to force in an RPG mechanic; Oblivion's action works very well with RPG aspects under the surface), none of the characters were interesting (I probably ended up killing most of them), and it was needlessly difficult traversing the wasteland due to the fact that I would consistently find myself lacking essential wasteland survival supplies.

Edit: Whoa, I said mechanic a lot.

So I've finished Of Myths and Monsters, but Marvel vs. Capcom wasn't working with MAME so I finished Cyber-Lip instead. After I finish the Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion, I'll probably jump into Seisen no Keifu.

Wait, Cyber-lip? What the hell is that? *looks it up* I should probably get back to Neo Geo games, as I gave up on the King of Fighters series after the first one. Plus there's Garou, and a few Samurai Shodown games, and that game, etc.

Jump into it NOW. BEST. GAME. EVER. NO. DOUBT. IT IS SO GREAT THAT YOU CAN ONLY DESCRIBE IT IN YELLING, THAT IS HOW AWESOME IT IS. ALL MUST KNOW!!!

Although Metal Slug 7 isn't a DS exclusive. It was released on WiiWare, PSN, and XBLA as Metal Slug XX.

Ahhh... the Castlevania series. I still have to play the three GBA and the three NES and the Genesis and the TurboGrafx-16 and one of the SNES and one of the DS and that upcoming XBLA game(s)!
