Built a new PC. Added a water cooler. It is apparently beyond overkill.

She burned. They drunkenly laughed. Irish pyre.

(I already own DS3 on Steam and wouldn't accept the prize - I just felt like trying.)

It's middling. There is a faithfulness to the original, but with slightly improved graphics and minor, unimportant changes that are 'meh' at best.

I honestly see no reason to prefer this version, except if you NEED mid-tier polygon graphics. Might as well go with the original.

* Granted I have only played a bit of the game in demo booths, and watched streamers play the game. Maybe it grows on you.

Good movie. Not mind-blowing, but good. The Disney hype machine pushed the pre-release hype to the max, and I think some people are going to be disappointed that it's not the next Dark Knight.

Killmonger was excellent, and he is up there with Loki and Zemo. Shuri and Nakia were great. Soundtrack was freaking great. I liked Klaw.

Fights were okay. Too much shakey cam in non-CGI fights. Kinetic suit was the answer to too many difficult situations. "How is he going to get out of this?" - "Kinetic suit, duh." The start of the final fight being boys -vs- girls was silly, but it did get better.

Ranking? Top 10.

1 - Civil War

2 - Winter Soldier

3 - Ragnarok

4 - Avengers

5 - Guardians

6 - Iron Man

7 - Doctor Strange

8 - Homecoming

9 - Black Panther

Or something like that. I'm not going to spend too much time on it. That's roughly the order I would like to rewatch these films, from most likely to less.

I don't think I actually dislike any MCU films (except Hulk which I don't count), though some I really have to be in the mood for: Thor 1, Cap 1, Iron Man 2, etc.

I don't really like cake, so muffins win. They also tend to have more flavor that 'ungodly sweet.'

Some friends and I systematically beat the original Legend of Zelda on the NES without adult help way back in the day. "Oh, you beat Zelda, congratulations..." you sarcastically say to yourself as you read this. Yes, you. I see you. Maybe you never played the original Legend of Zelda, but that game was like a prototype for Fez. Where was the fifth dungeon? Who knows? I guess we'll just wonder around trying to blow up and set fire to things until we find it. Heck, even finding the first dungeon took some wondering around to find. This was before cracks on the walls showing you were to bomb, you could access most of the dungeons from the start, and enemies would permanently eat your shield. And it's not like Nintendo Power was any help. "Congratulations on beating world 1! Here's a guide for world 2, that you will never get to." Thanks, Nintendo Power.

@justin258: Yeah, Nocturne kicked my ass hard the first time I played it. I had to go back to it after playing Persona 3, and even then it was pretty hard. Screw you, Matador. You had some ridiculous dodge mechanics.

I think some of it may have come down to him be a preset character, and with the game not having a create-a-character option. Some people want to play as something of their own design, and can be a bit miffed when they feel 'forced' to play a certain role.

Personally, I think the character's great and found the Witcher 3 version to be the closest to the books, which are excellent.

CD Project Red might gain some more fans with Cyberpunk 2077 if it has a create-a-character option. I think some story telling options become limited without a predefined character, but there are middle grounds like Mass Effect's Sheppard. Actually, I don't really prefer one style over another, as they're both just different tools in the toolbox and sometimes it's fun to create my own thing, but It will be interesting to see what they come up with and how people react.

I'm a cynical bastard, so this would not surprise me. It's almost certainly being done by CBSi. I can't see the crew signing off on this.

We're approaching a point were every website of moderate size is going to start doing this, sadly.

Dark Souls 2 is practically tied with the original for my favorite in the series, but the bosses are not great. The slug was ridiculously easy. Chariot was the only one I really remember as being interesting.

DS1 was too up and down. S&O are classic, but then you got pinwheel or the final boss. The DLC bosses were freaking fantastic, however.

I'm playing and almost done with New Order now, and... it's not my favorite. The enemy spawn with captains is frustrating, damage indicators are weak, and there are definite difficulty spikes. I was hoping for Doom and got frequent cinematics and loss of weapons between levels.

The story is also silly.

If New Colossus is that but worse, then I feel validated in stopping this run at TNO.

Went to work. Had dinner with wife. Waited until weekend to celebrate with friends.

It was nothing special. I remember having a talk with my dad not long after, and he said that when he turned thirty, he though to himself, "I thought I would have done more with my life by now. Then I realized it was just a number and that everything was still happening." I sorta had the same feeling. Thirty is neither the beginning nor ending of anything (important). It is just a number.
