Haven't really played that many games this year. These are actually the only two that actually came out this year.

  1. Mass Effect 2

  This was quite an amazing game. The universe is really dense, the characters were interesting, the story was great and the gameplay was refined from the first one, making this the best game to come out this year, that I've played.

  2. Alan Wake

  I'm a huge Max Payne fan. Played those games a hundred times through, so I was excited when Alan Wake finally came out, proving, once again, that Remedy know how to create a mood. A feeling that persists through the entire game, without being boring. Though I didn't like the combat, I understood why it was what it was, and therefore it's the second best game that I've played this year.
