@Resident4t: Resident4t The area with gargoyles, is that Anor Londo? I cannot find it anywhere where it has info on the internet. I haven't explored it yet, but is it the place where the gate opens when you ring the second bell?

Also back on topic, I am absolutely loving Dark Souls. For me I love the new change having the Nexus completely removed. I agree that it was more self explanatory in Demons Souls but I am constantly researching on the internet about what to do etc on Dark Souls, and I don't mind that, its quite interesting. It definitely felt a little linear at first before ringing the 2nd bell, but I got quite the satisfaction when I opened the links to areas and doors that connected and created shortcuts (surprisingly a lot of satisfaction). But yeah I love how Dark Souls is structured now, but I do agree it tends to get a tiny bit tedious when your at Firelink Shrine and you want to get to Demon's Ruin (ceaseless discharge location), but I pull through and change my mindset to 'its going to be fun' haha.

@bcjohnnie To get out from Blightown if you go right out of the 2nd bonfire and defeat 2 of those flame blowers and hug the wall till you get to a ramp going to a ladder (which is still on the right). Climb the ladder and you'll find a watermill lift thing that takes you up to another ladder. You will run into some flying bugs and another flame blower, ignore him and keep climbing. You'll eventually get to the top and go toward the big tunnel leading out. You will come across 3 big fat monsters with the clubs, defeat them and you'll come to the Valley of the Drakes. Hopefully you can unlock (if you haven't already) the gate that is on the other side of the ridge.

Note: Keep climbing those ladders up until you see a tunnel leading out, If you cannot find a ladder to climb to the top, keep looking, they are there. Good luck! Also when you get out, go to the Darkroot Garden. There are tree monsters that drop poison and toxic cures.

This game is just not fun. Checkpoints every 2 hours.

This game is 80 hours because you die every 5 min .

Haha, if you're going at such a slow pace that it takes you two hours to get to a bonfire then how are you dying so often?

Well because the design of this game makes no sense, i don't wanne go up ahead for 30 min then die by a cheap enemy or my own mistake and do it all again. It gets tiresome, this game is alot of trial and error and replaying the same part over and over again is not fun . Did you read up on the game at all? It is all about trial and error, you learn from what you did wrong and improve on it. The more you play the more you know where the enemies are etc. Granted I can see that you might not find it fun. This type of game may not appeal to most but if dieing lots and trial and error is what you hate most, then give up now because its what the game is about and you will probably not ever like it.

Its a real hardcore game, its a shame you won't gain the immense satisfaction from it...

How do I get to Anor Londo? I've explored through New Londo Ruins and can't find anyway to progress. I got to a lift of some sort and could not turn the lever (could not move contraption) and there was a gate door just near it too, which was locked... I have no idea where to go now..

If you could reply as soon as possible, would be great!

@Red_R0B0T: Yeah it was that guy. Guess i was just lucky that I got the weapon, cause its so good. I have seen a video where there are other places with that enemy, I'm pretty sure. But you will have to ring both bells first and its the place where you cannot go at the moment due to the huge locked gate near that bonfire above the blacksmith.

@SuperfluousMoniker: It is in the Undead Parish where it connects with the Blackmoon Forest. I presume you haven't been to Blackmoon Forest, because you have to defeat this really touch enemy to get to it. This enemy, Titanite Demon, is blocking your way (you can run around him) and he drops the Catch Pole. Now I don't know if it drops every time, but I was lucky this time haha.

To be more specific, in the Undead Parish where you have defeated the Armoured Boar, and unless you bypassed a big armoured guy with a big shield, you'll have to defeat him too. The big shield guy is in the church and once defeated turn right (from coming in the front entrance) which brings you outside where 3 enemies are. You will see a bridge and that is what you'll walk across to get to the next bonfire. Walk along the bridge and go down the stairs to the bonfire. Below that is Blacksmith Andrei and you'll see a door leading to the Titanite Demon.

Good luck fighting it, and I hope I explained enough so you can find it.

I have joined numerous games helping others, and only a few where I have summoned others. But I have to agree, sometimes I can wait a long time before someone else summons me.

When I went through Blightown I had no idea where the Spider boss was, but watch this video and follow what this person does, and you'll find it. Where the actual boss is, where you enter to fight him, I thought it was a backdrop thing, just to look at lol.

Click this link and fast forward to 6:10 and follow on. If you want tips on how to fight it, watch from the beginning. Good luck. The boss is easy, but I died a few times. Watch out for the AoE fire attack, it does serious damage. Tip: try to kindle the bonfire.

The best weapon that I have come across so far, even better than the Drake Sword is the Titanite Catch Pole. Its stats are:

Physical: 120 +17

Magic: 145 +2

Now I know the Drake Sword has physical: 200+ but the Catch Pole has been absolutely dominating all monsters I have come across! Best weapon (that I can wield) that I have found.
