Getting my master's degree in interaction design and then working as one...feels kinda good to have spent all that time studying and then actually getting a job in that field when most people around me ended up working with completely different things from what they studied for.
Also winning some small photo competitions but that was a while ago.
Are there rounds/resets/scores, anything to keep track of who is in the lead between the sides?
In planetside 1 there were no resets. If a faction captured all the conquerable regions in the game, the 2 remaining factions would just group up in their "sanctuaries" (basically their own little island that no other empire can come to) and try to push out. It is practically impossible for a faction to hold all regions for any length of time because they have to split their defenses in order to defend against 2 factions that are invading separate regions. And capturing all regions in the first place is super hard in the first place.
Im not in the PS2 beta (DAMN YOU!) so I don't know how that is handled in PS2.
The beta hasn't implemented the whole "world" yet, it's just one continent and your main spawn is your sanctuary gate.
I have a hint of a memory of some kind of weekly or monthly region/land percentage tally? Is that wrong then?
When it comes to Android, it's about what manufacturer interface you're using. Samsung TouchWiz has been my favourite ever since 2009, but people seem eager to take a dump on it.

I loathe TouchWiz...hate it with a passion. Give me vanilla Android any day. So much cleaner and unobtrusive.
@uber_skedy: Gemini Rue is awesome, the single best modern day point-and-clicker I've played. Been meaning to get Resonance but I haven't yet so can't speak for that, but it does look good as well.
I own a Zboard Merc Stealth (now produced by steelseries). This is the best keyboard that I have ever used. The gaming section of the keyboard is a lot more ergonomic for me when playing games, especially when I am trying to hit a number key, or holding Ctrl while using WASD.
Now some people will try telling you that a mechanical keyboard is the way to go. I might agree with that statement if you were a writer who spends 8hours a day typing, but for gaming, I like hitting a button and knowing that it was activated immediately, and I hate having a button not respond because I only pressed it down half-way.
Urk, I tried that one for a couple of months and I hated it. I'm so used to the WASD setup that I constantly hit the wrong keys due to muscle memory.
@Aronman789: Simple, basic, mechanical keyboard all the way for me! The thing with a good mechanical keyboard is you actually get that instant input and there's a much better feeling (subjective) to the key strokes. They're also a fuckload more reliable than membrane/scissor switch/whatever crap. Just make sure you get a made-for-gaming keyboard, otherwise I can imagine the slow response time being an issue.
I know drug users who take stuff like morphine... they are monsters that I would never wish upon ANYONE... trust me, I know this to be true. They have no emotions. Only rage and insanity.
