The story of Far Cry 3 is the worst part. I wish someone spoiled it for me so I didn't get my hopes so high!

So you let this drunk girl who you claim has a thing for you (and you have no interest in) into your house and let her play Max Payne for a couple hours while you went off and did something else? I think that story is completely fabricated!

I thought the ending was bad. The game took me 3 hours and 15 minutes to beat and I loved the gameplay, I finished it in one sitting. I hate when developers try to make their ending some deep life changing thing for the player, it's not, it's shallow and doesn't explain anything. Why does this place keep getting colder? Whats the deal with the face on the back of the fire place? Why does putting some things like sun glasses and a magnet in my fireplace make my house explode? How do I survive the explosion unscathed? Why does it take 30 seconds to open some damn gates to this company's building? Who's this old lady and why does she have a rocket ship? Why does my character even care? Why do I go with this creepy weather man on his balloon? The ending doesn't explain anything. All I get is a delivery man that comes inside my house to drop off my packages, a gate guard that used to be a bus driver, and a secretary that's writing a novel. All introduced for no reason in the last 5 minutes.

Didn't Giant Bomb do that with the Vita?

Am I advancing through the story too fast or researching the wrong stuff? When I got to the first base mission I had ONE laser rifle and everything else was stock.

The problem I had was I had 6 Chrysalids that were just on the other side of the hump near the pillars near the end. They were at the bottom of the hump and my guys were on top of the hump, so they could only see a few squares in front of them. When the Chrysalids were getting spotted they could close in AND attack in the same turn. So I was losing 1-2 guys just spotting them, even with my guys on Overwatch.

Also, some of the percents are total crap I think. I had two snipers shooting at the Chrysalids with headshots. It was 85% chance to hit and 45% chance for a critical hit. I reloaded the same save over a dozen times and I could not get a single critical hit with it and EVERY single time one of the snipers missed. Either the first one hit and the second one missed or the first one missed and the second one hit, each and every time.

I have no issue with her at all. Shes just another person in the wastes.

I feel exactly like TLM. I honestly don't know why she is hated because she is really no weird or worse than Scooter or Claptrap.

If there is something to complain about, it is the huge amounts of cross chatter. There is too much talking in the game where stuff is being cut off all of the time due to the progress of the game.

Yeah, sometimes in the game I have to do what I do in GTA like games where I have to keep driving around before I get to the objective so I can hear the whole conversation. Same with Borderlands, have to wait for people to finish talking before I do anything else because I don't want it to get cut off.... unless it's Tiny Tina.

@SirOptimusPrime: My opinion of the original Vault Hunters is pretty lukewarm but i can't tell if it's a "giving Tom & Jerry a voice" scenario where the characters just don't come across as you originally imagined they would. Their founding story, where they ended up after they split, worked well enough, except i don't remember where lilith ended up and i cringe everytime i hear someone say "sup" unironically. But, I feel like the originals only semi worked because they were downplayed (ie generic).

As for Handsome Jack i feel like they ruined that character by keeping him at 11 the whole time, refusing to let up, and trying to add a character arch way late which felt more like a "spike" then an "arch". At that point everything just fell flat for lack of depth.

Disagree entirely on Handsome Jack. He was a cocky son of a bitch throughout a lot of the game because he had the largest corporation in the galaxies at his disposal. When you hit him where it hurts, he starts to take you seriously, and then it becomes a game of rising escalation between the Vault Hunter/s and Handsome Jack, culminating in a really brutal low blow to Jack.

That's when the kid gloves come off and he starts being genuinely nasty.

I agree with you about Handsome Jack. His, "Look how evil I am" routine gets a little stale but about 3/4ths in his attitude changes a bit. He realizes what you're capable of and puts his serious face on (no pun intended).

@Yummylee: Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition has loot, it must be a loot game! Why isn't it in the survey!?!?

Because it isn't randomised, nor is it colour coded. Nice try, though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????!!!!!

EDIT: Unless I missed something about the PC version...

Does that mean SSX is a "loot game"?
