It was really, really awesome.

After re-watching the Hitman T.A.N.G in Patrick's recent article; I stumbled and fell into a "this ain't no game" extravaganza.

I think the series of videos features some of Vinny's most charming/funny video editing, and Ryan is at his best in every episode.

Well, the RE: Apocalypse one is great for reasons I need not explain. I actually, unironically, like the Postal movie though so that one was hard to watch.

It's fantastic, I miss new episodes.

Why did it stop. Was video tape transfer just not possible?

Dear Ryan and Vinny,

You are both history's greatest monsters for mercilessly killing WUTANG for no goddamn reason. Between things like Wreck-It Ralph, Scott Pilgrim and be myriad other films that are tangentially about games, there's no reason you couldn't keep doing it. Moreover it was one of the best video features you guys have ever done and no other site does anything comparable. Therefore you killed your best content and I hate you for it... In as much as I can hate two people who I don't actually hate and continue to happily give $50 to every year of course.

It was great because Ryan is fantastic at talking about movies. Mad knowledge, good taste, and says intelligent things about movies without sounding pretentious. His guest spots on Screened podcasts were top notch as well. Ryan on movies is better than Ryan on games.

@MikeW1980UK: It was simply because they were running out of movies based on games, and then running out of Wonderful Universe movies based on games that don't actually exist.

Ryan's said he'd like to get back to it sometime. We'll see.

@iAmJohn: Those two would make for good episodes. I'm not sure there'd be enough to keep it going for more than another ten or fifteen episodes, but there's always something coming out eventually. I'd take sporadic episodes.

I still wish Ryan had done a TANG for that Prince of Persia movie, because that movie wasn't half bad. But I wouldn't put it past Ryan to not like that one anyway.

But yeah, it was a fun feature. While there's definitely movies out there he could cover, for both TANG and WUTANG, I bet it falls under the same category as video reviews where the amount of time and effort put into it isn't worth it compared to the other things they could be doing.

True story, TANG is what really got me into Giant Bomb. I joined on the launch, but didn't actually visit for around a year and a half, until I stumbled onto episodes of TANG. Watched them all in an afternoon, and have loved Giant Bomb since.

Really miss the series. I have never liked the Endurance Runs, so for me, bringing back TANG is my real wish for the site.

TANG was amazing, back then you could feel the energy they had for doing something new and exciting. It was not just WORK, they were liberated from corporate interests and it really showed.

Miss those days.

@floodiastus: too true - there was a certain light-heartedness to the videos back then; not that there isn't now, but there is something missing in the new equation.

Maybe it´s also not cool to make fun of movies that CBS somehow has/had a stake in?

Anyway, I miss that feature. Or any other feature.. these days it´s all Quicklooks, but I guess that is what the kids want.

TANG is missed. Thank the Heavens for Unprofessional Fridays (completely awesome and always surprising) because I never got over Happy Hour disappearing abruptly after 2011's Big Live Live Show.

Just sort of shrug it off as the Bomb Crew gets older. They have less time and energy to do what they could when they were slightly younger. I think Jeff will refuse to go gently into that good night, I mean he's burning the candle at both ends with Jar Time and Bombastica.

I wouldn't mind some new episodes of Wutang

TANG is probably one of my favorite features on the entire site. Still want Ryan and Vinny to bring it back. Those two make magic together. Favorite episode was probably Super Mario Bros because Ryan is unrelenting in his critique of that awful movie. WUTANG had such a promising showing as well. I will still rewatch those videos from time to time.
