East Coast. Moved there with Alex. They're a couple now.

I settled in Baltimore, about 2 hours from where I went to school and grew up. Far enough away that I can't be bothered by family at a drop of a hat, but close enough I can go home to them and friends on the weekend if I want.

I like how the Bombcast is talking about him now. Not a lot, of course... but I've heard Jeff mentioned Ryan a few times. It shows they are healing. For a long time no one even mentioned him; it's like if they did then they'd have to acknowledge he was gone and not simply on vacation.

As long as devs make money buying into this service I don't mind getting indie stuff for free almost straight out of the gate. I just don't want it to hurt them and sway them to stay Steam only.

The Devs are making these deals voluntarily. Presumably they wouldn't be making them if they were unprofitable (and one would think that given how long these programs have been around the dev community has an idea of the economics of it.) Think about it. How many copies was Volgarr the Viking going to sell anyway? Plus after the games leave the service they have seeded the system with players so that when little Johnny gets his XBONE for Christmas and asks his buddy what he should get, that buddy is going to say "Volgarr the Viking is awesome" but by then it won't be free anymore. For a small indie studio it's hard to beat that kind of publicity and widespread player base.

True. I guess that makes sense - I didn't know the economics behind it so my reptile brain was saying "If I put out a new game, and it's completely free for a month, how the heck am I going to make money if all the people that want it get it for free?"

Why were people hyped about this? The reactions of previews were always Luke warm at absolute best. I remember Alex saying way back when that it's as mediocre as fuck, and it looks like the devs didn't listen.

"Carpenter: I wish the only Halloween made was the first one."

Mother fucker, he and I are best friends now.

...well, II was ok, but I fucking agree that anything past that was shit.

A seller on Amazon who had bought it, read the reviews, then sold it brand new at a steep loss. I saw a lot more games online for that price, but they were open cases so I don't know if that's an issue with playing online (some sports games have like a $10 online code to try to beat the GameStop used market - I don't know if that's still a thing).

I wouldn't have jumped on it @bhizzy, but a lot of people are slowly leaving NHL 14 as EA fixes 15 little by little. It takes me a long time to find a full team now, so... there's really no point to stay :(
