I'm also curious about this.

Do you have to complete a new save of the game from start to finish without killing anyone for the achievement, or can you simply use mission select to do a clean run of the missions you originally rampaged through?

I don't really understand how Mission Select functions in this game.

Anyone know if there are HBO Game of Thrones character portraits available? I know plenty of people on the mod forums despise the idea, but I would love to see the characters I've been watching on TV represented in the game by their HBO portrait.

At the moment I have found myself forgetting/mixing up certain characters with nothing to go on but a generic 3D portrait.

@Abyssfull: Haha, yeah man. If you knew how often my friends quote that single line you would probably vomit.

Time, Dr. Freeman? Is it really that...time again? It seems as if you only just arrived.

It depends on the game.

Massive RPGs: Create-a-character

Anything else: Preset characters

To actually take the time to create a character in titles like Gears of War or Call of Duty would seem absolutely pointless. In the end, I don't really care what the individual looks like when I'm being driven through a linear story while simultaneously blowing up things. When it comes to RPGs though you're not only supposed to feel like you own the character, but also play a very particular role in order to fulfill that characters personality. When there's an option to make moral choices, collect loot, and follow skill trees to develop a personalized character, why not spend the time developing your appearance?

I would recommend waiting for Saints Row: The Third GOTY Edition. The developers plan to release a ton of DLC which will make waiting for a complete package worth it in the end.

If you're on PC:

  • Medieval 2: Total War
  • Mount & Blade: Warband
  • World of Goo
  • Super Meat Boy
  • Amnesia
  • Tales of Monkey Island
  • Terraria
  • Crusader Kings 2

At the moment I'm thinking Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning. That may or may not change after I play the demo though.

I may feed my rather unfortunate FIFA addiction with the purchase of Fifa Street 4, but I'd rather stick with Fifa 12. Only time will tell.

Metal Gear Solid 1 - I love this game just as much as I used to, if not more. The game mechanics and the story are more familiar to me now which sort of kills the buzz. On the other hand though, I've matured since my first playthrough which has allowed me to both understand and appreciate the story more instead of just playing for stealthy neck snapping. I consider it to be a timeless title. Brilliant.
