@TechnoSyndrome: Is it not $20 for the complete pass? That seems a little more reasonable (if they are also adding 3 more playable characters in a free patch)

EDIT: It's £13.50 for the season pass in the UK bringing the total up to about £44 which is just a little over the price of a new game at retail for me anyway, still sad to see Nintendo finally in the pre-release season pass game but I guess it was inevitable.

@hassun: Pricing scheme? Looking it up it's going for £25 at retail, is it higher elsewhere or is it the low price that's worrying? But yeah Season pass's are getting a little out of control.

@splodge: That's a fair point, a games reception good or bad seems to spread like wildfire now. But I feel that Nintendo have made a conscious choice to keep "LEGEND OF ZELDA" branding off of the game, I'd still argue that Zelda can pretty much survive a number of mediocre spin offs due to the sheer love for the franchise and the recent successes of that Wii-U demo (people seemed to freak out over it) and the 3DS game. That being said I can't remember any truly terrible Mario Spin offs, even the sports games are pretty high quality.

@splodge: Even as someone who's playing his first Zelda in his mid 20's I think it's a name that's too big to hurt really. There were those completely horrific CD-I games with the name on it and they really didn't seem to do anything to the brand (and they weren't just niche but competent games like this) I think I read it was a let down in first week sales though.

I like Dynasty Warriors and I've just gotten into Windwaker HD, so I guess I'm a part of this weird crossover market. I do wonder how big that market is even within Japan.

@fisk0: Is the Carmageddon/Twisted Metal divide a European/American one. Anyone I talk to here in Scotland that played the genre preferred Carmageddon, but online TM has a much bigger following. I just don't see how you can beat that Fear Factory soundtrack.

I'm pretty sure they even just straight up tore music out of the previous two games for this, the whole thing just looks really lazy. On the subject of the first two though, I really liked the music they went for: heavy guitar riffs over orchestral stuff really appealed to the part of my brain that loves robot-cars.

@ravelle: Seriously? I was going to order from there since it came with a goofy gimmick wheel but that's crazy.

So did everyone else have issues with Fable 3 on the PC? I could never get it to run well on two different machines. Hopefully this will be better optimized.

The way the singstar mic's were thrown around at parties means I couldn't use a valuable breakable phone.
