I've owned a Wii since 2007, I just finished my first game on the console tonight - Donkey Kong Returns.

Is there any timetable regarding when this will be available to non-premium members?

Less than the amount of time it took for Minecraft to go from beta to full retail status.

Joking aside it's getting there but not quite.

Good news, glad to know the guys at the top are still working on it.

Excellent. I wasn't a big fan of the ZoE games so I'm much happier seeing him gearing up for another MGS. I think I'd rather have another prequel instead of a direct sequel to MGS4.

My strategy: pick different MP games that don't promote such tactics.

I would have liked to have read his thoughts on it too. That being said, Patrick seems pretty knowledgeable about the series so it is not all bad.

I have Amazon prime and I still haven't received MGS HD collection. For the most part I agree though, even though I use eBay a lot more than Amazon.

Jak 2 is amazing. If anyone has any interest in it do not hesitate. 3 was more of the same but still pretty solid. I tried to go back to play one after finishing 2, but couldn't get into it.

  1. The Thing
  2. Alien
  3. Blair Witch Project
  4. Cabin Fever
  5. Dawn of the Dead (have only seen the remake)

I'd include Misery and Saw over a couple of those but they are more suspense than horror, imo.

Aliens should be on there too, but I'll stick with one from the franchise.

I never really liked the 80s (and late 70s technically) slashers like Halloween and NoES.

Very fun game...surprised so many people show such disdain for it.

I can explain that. Mechanically it's a novel game, it just gets much worse when you pay attention to the plot.

Yupp, I'm all for experimenting with story telling in games and I'm grateful this game exists. But the cheap pulp detective story isn't much to brag about.

That said, I had fun playing it once.

The game had some of the most intense and memorable scenes this generation. Not to mention the atmosphere was portrayed so hauntingly at times. I agree that you could potentially write an essay on the plot holes and such, but it was fun to play. I believe if more people gave it a chance they would enjoy it.
