Well as much as I want to see this as a positive thing overall for pushing more money into VR development, I would rather it be almost any other company than Facebook. This has got to feel like a real kick in the dick for kickstarter backers. Kind of sucks that all your money went into making the company look good enough for Facebook to buy it. Kind of like you suddenly realized you were working hard making weapons all this time for the Soviets instead of the USA.

No? It's a fantastic success story. A backer believed in the company enough to fund creating a product, and that product was such a huge deal that someone went out and bought it for $2 billion.

It's mind boggingly fantastic, and a huge win for Kickstarter and all of Occulus' backers. It's baffling how anyone could see this as a negative, as if Facebook was a company like Microsoft or something, known for ruining purchased companies. Quite the opposite.

@frobitz What is even the logic in doing that? Why would you do that? That makes no sense! Nothing has changed other than Occulus now worth two billion dollars.

Stuff like I Love Mondays (and video reviews) are stuff from a time when Giant Bomb took itself more seriously and made more effort for content.

It would take the current path GB is in to completely reverse itself for that to happen again.

Looks like the Sonic Cycle continues again. Still, I'm going to pick it up. I still think it looks cool.

The Sonic Cycle hasn't been in play in half a decade. This is the first time in a LONG time.

This is the most important video game person to have passed away thus far. Very momentous and saddening.

The increased difficulty of the S-ranks in Unleashed Project did keep me from bothering to S-rank them; but I did like that it was harder, since Generations had it way too easy.

What does MRKK even stand for? If it was a phising site, it would have been Gintbomb.com or Giantbonb.com or Gianbomb.com; not MRKK of all things.

Amazon.co.uk have been lowering the Wii U price for a limited time, Basic Model was 229£ and is 149£ now. Premium was 279£ and is 199£ now. I even decided to buy the Premium for that price although there aren't alot of games out on the Wii U right now that I want to play.

Amazon.co.uk did the same thing earlier this year and the sales numbers went up by over 800%, I believe that the same thing is happening right now with this price cut.

As soon as Nintendo lowers the price permanently on Wii U the console will be fine. There are some great games coming out for the system in the coming months so we will see software sales go up.

Don't forget that Nintendo consoles have quite alot of games that are only available on Nintendo consoles that a number of people don't want to miss out on. Nintendo consoles are always great as a side console next to your major console (PS4 or XBone)

Great games? There is one Mario game coming out and one Zelda Remake Which are the great games you speak of?

If the only games you know about are the Mario game (which was overshadowed at E3 by other Nintendo games) and the Wind Waker remake (which didn't even get that much attention), then I can see why you'd be asking such questions.

Some games that are coming out this year include Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Sonic Lost World, Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed 4, Batman Arkham Origins, Cloudberry Kingdom and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. Next year also has Mario Kart, Smash Bros., Bayonetta 2, and of course, X. Wii U has great games coming out, no doubt about that; the question is if they will save it.

Again which of these game do you believe will sell consoles? Ass creed 4? Watch Dogs? Or are you one of these "Wii U will be saved by Bayonetta and a JRPG" dreamer?

None of the above? Read the last sentence of the post you quoted.
